Has anyone had the JL power window switch array apart?

Is it possible to replace the existing switches with SPDT momentary rocker switches in the same package?

I'm talking about taking this apart - (picture from eBay, mine don't look that nasty!)

and putting in 4 rocker switches. SPDT, momentary rocker switches.
Push top of switch to roll window up, push bottom of switch to run the window down.

(consider it adaptive equipment for a person with a handicap)

Have you considered adding a paddle to the existing switches?

Yes, and it won't work in this case. It would still require a pull action, lifting.
Needs to be push both ways, like a rocker mounted vertically. Push the top to roll up, push the bottom to roll down.
There isn't a way to make these do that, and the spring tension is stupid high.

It looks like manual window JL's come with a cubby there. What if you order that and glue/plastic weld an ABS switch panels on the front with your new switches?

I ran into a major issue with the 3w window up module and may have to rip it all out. It is causing bus issues and now I can't charge our 4xe so need to figure that out..... but in the meantime, a different monkey wrench on the switch issue - I didn't think or realize but these switches are 3 position switches. For down, there's 2 detents. So it's one for up, then back to neutral or off, and two positions down. I'd need a switch that can duplicate that.
