What lift do you have?
JLUR XR take offs, springs, shocks, sway links, both track bars and all 8 control arms (gifted by a friend who bought an XR but immediately put on a Clayton kit to fit 37s). I added a 1” coil Tereflex coil spacer up front to level the rake after it settled due to the weight of the winch, bumper and front skid. So I can fit 35s no problem, but fear that if I do then I may want to regear as well as additional modifications for the tailgate., the list will go on, when 285/75/17, may be the right fit as my daily and week end warrior. Can’t wait, tired of looking like I’ve missed leg day.

Ha! "Missed leg day" hilarious!
Looks good.
The 285/75-17's are what I may go with too.
Basically a 34", and not too wide since our Willys don't have the wider axles.
I'm still at stock, but doing gears (4.56) next week. Still mulling over lift & tires...
Thanks for the response! ?

Yeah, I'm thinking something in the 1.5" to 2" range and 34's as well, will a 285/75/17 still fit on the factory Willy's wheels? I like the look of those wheels, just would like something a bit more leg-day ish, and a 34" might do the trick perfectly. I'm still debating a 2 door, I feel like you get a lot more capability off road with less of an investment, the downside being that I surf, kite, foil, mountain bike, camp, etc. and storage is pretty key for all of those.

Are the links, track bars, and control arms on an XR different from a standard Rubicon?

Not a Willy's, just an extraordinary Sport S.

Mopar 2" lift (ended up with 2.5"), with 35x12.5x17 Goodyear Duratracs on Fuel Ammo Anthracite 17x9 (-12mm offset) wheels and Teraflex Sway Bar Quick Disconnects.

Loving every minute of it.

Here are a few pictures:

2-door with the Rubicon springs and stock wheels (I think I had the leveling spacers in at this point):

Clayton 2.5" Overland+ lift with stock wheels (rake is back and the JL just looked goofy to me):

Just in case you were wondering, I went 12 months without a regear. I would highly recommend the 4.88's with the manual transmission:

I’m keeping the wheels, love them too. And I’m positive a 285/75/17 will fit these wheels as I’ve seen many posts here with these wheels and 34s. In fact check out this YouTube of 35s with the stock wheels:

I love the look of this setup. Can you tell me what parts you added to carry your kayak? I have a tandem kayak and have no way currently to get it to water. TIA

35x11.5 are another option thats not too wide. Tires are expensive. So if you want 35s just go for it.
