My 2.0T takes forever (approximately 3-4 minutes) for the RPM's to return to idle speed.
* After initial startup (choke)*

Anyone else experience this?

Is there a trick to get it to kick down sooner?

It’s waiting for the oil to reach full temperature. It’s all electronic now. No more tie tap to drop the idle anymore

Yeah, it is an emissions thing to get to operating temp sooner.

Mine does the same. Maybe not as long bu to never timed it. As soon as it reaches temp it’s back down pretty quick.
