2.0 performance fox shocks for on stock Willy?

Hello jeep friends,

I’m finally looking to upgrade my suspension because I recently drove a JL with the fox shocks and boy did I fall in love with the ride. I currently have a Willy’s haven’t really done anything to the suspension other than add spacer lift kit of 2.5 inches, but the ride feels horrible so I’m looking to get the fox shocks. Now here’s my question… will the 2.5 shocks fit my JL shock jeep once I remove the spacer lift or do I need to get the whole kit which comes with springs and control arms. The shocks I’m looking at are the 2.0-3.0 lift fox performance shocks.


If anyone knows I would very much appreciate a answer thank you very much ??

Just a heads up - I too like the ride of the Fox 2.0 shocks with my 2” lift. That said I would probably go with Bilstein 5100s if I could do it all over. Both my front and rear Fox 2.0s have required replacement after developing oil leaks…the front at 28,000 miles, the back at 35,000 miles. My off-roading is pretty much limited to a couple of times per year. These shocks are rebuildable, but the cost and inconvenience of having it done is nearly the cost of a new replacement. The Bilsteins I installed on my JK eight years ago are still doing ok….

I changed from the stock red shocks on my Willys 2 door to Fox 2.0 shocks. It did seem to soften the ride a little, but after about 15k miles I've got one rear slightly leaking. No difference in ride or handling just a small oil weep.
