(Several - Thanks in Advance - Might want to read this one with a fresh coffee or a beer)
So, just got the new horse home, but unlike the fairly clean looking 18 x 7.5 black wheels on the last one - I think these wheels are fugly.
I'm digging hard trying to sift snd sort out either finding 'clean' (un-curb-rashed) black OEM take-off 2023s or 2024s in a similar clean style.. or finding aftermarket wheels that I like.
Prob is - I don't really see much that is the same 'config' (18" x 7.5" wide) to avoid any other fitment, offset or spacer junk.
Questions:
1. Is an 18" x 7.5"W an anomaly of some sort? I see a lot of 8"W and a few 7"W, but scarcely any 7.5"W wheels avail in the aftermarket.
I love my pizza cutters in the snow - last Jeep I ran Goodyear Kevlar 33" tires (275-70R18 Load Range E Light truck tires) for 4 ski seasons everywhere - zero issues.
2. Am I overthinking this? Can I simply go with black 18" x 8"W aftermarket wheels and get appropriate Goodyear 33" tires to fit those wheels without any width clearance issues with 8" vice 7.5" wheels and all the rest of the Jeep wheel fitment hardware left as is?
I'm not interested in tires sticking out - more interested in similar 'clean' look and performance in crap New England weather as I had with the last, good horse (below)
Thanks all - looking forward to any/all insights and ideas.
