Today marks 1 year since I took delivery of my first ever Jeep, a Bikini Sahara. For those who don't know me or my story well, I'll keep it short. I ordered a Bikini Wrangler as it reminded me of the color of my first love which was a 1996 Firebird. Its also why my Jeep is named Phoenix.
Miles driven: 4223
Trips taken: 1
Car Shows: 3
Car Cruises: 2
Jeep Runs: 1
Offroad Adventures: 1
The good: I absolutely love everything about the Wrangler. It has been such an enjoyable driving experience. The feeling of just cruising with everything stripped off is something you just can't get anywhere else even in a convertible which I traded in a 2017 Camaro SS vert on the Jeep as well as an Altima. It also led me on my first ever offroad adventure. I never thought I would take a brand new Jeep offroad, but definitely glad we did. I've enjoyed how relatively easy the Jeep has been to work on. It really does feel like adult Legos. I installed every mod myself with the exception of tint which I am always good leaving to the pros. All in all, we loved the Jeep so much we bought a second one.
The bad: It keeps trying to steal all of my money.
Plans for next year: We are hoping to go on more Jeep runs, and are planning a trip to do Jeep Branson. I'd love to make the Smokey Mountain Invasion but my wife can't ever take off that time of year as she's a teacher. A buddy of mine got a 2016 Wrangler this past summer that I have been modding for him as well and we MIGHT venture out together but still very uncertain. We will also be looking out for car shows and cruises next year again. We may also be taking a trip to Colorado and possibly take the two Jeeps down to Hot Springs to see my Grandma and hit some trails. As for mods, I am really down to expensive items so it may be a slow year for mods. I'm keeping my eye out for rubi axles to swap over so I can eventually put 35s or 37s on. May just commit to 37s and see if there's anything I can do to help prep for that eventuality.
