Yeah I was debating on buying Oracle products but after seeing that thread a few weeks ago they didn't seem like the most honest company so I decided to just keep my OEM ones for now.
After correcting my speedo for my new tire size (37" KO2s) I'm averaging 19.5 MPG over the last 1000 or so miles. Most of my driving is done on a state route that has some stop lights and the speed is usually around 55mph so maybe I'm just hitting the sweet spot? I do tend to do highway driving...
I was also debating between the 2.0 and the 3.6 but after driving both I just enjoyed the 2.0L. I was also a little worried about longevity, but decided to take a chance on it. I also ended up buying a Recon, so I didn't have much of a choice
I'll shoot you a PM! I just bought some of those lights that go into the top license plate bolt holes but I can't use them with a temporary tag
I might have to reach out to Nuthouse for future needs then. I think I spoke with them once when I was looking at wheels/tires but Hilltop Performance gave me an amazing deal that I couldn't pass up so I ended up going with them. I've actually been talking to Honest Speed Shop up in Columbus who...
You would be correct. I'm actually not a huge fan of the shop because I feel like they tend to be more expensive than other places,. However, I'm going to Jeep Invasion in two days and needed a front-end alignment and they could squeeze me in. After they did the alignment the called and tried to...
Was just recommended to install this by my local Jeep shop. Told them I'd look into it and get back to them and holy shit am I glad I decided to do some research. I will definitely NOT be installing this on my Jeep with all the issues everyone seems to be having.
Finally Lifted-
So, I have never really worked on vehicles in the past, but decided I wanted to try and install the Rough Country 2.5" Spacer Lift myself. I was pretty confident going into it, even with my lack of mechanical skills, and even ordered a bunch of tools to try and make sure I had...
I have 37s on my 2.0L with the 4.10 gears and have no intentions of re-gearing it. I can cruise at 75mph on the highway no problem and it doesn't feel like I lost much in acceleration compared to the stock 33s. I'm also averaging 19.5 MPG right now as well with 37s, so no complaints here.
Note...
I was on the fence about leather myself and ended up going with cloth. Decided I could always get the Katzkins later if I really wanted to change them.
They didnt actually do the test. It was a 3rd party from what I understand. I only see the same set of pictures posted though and would love to see a newer unbiased comparison.I wish I could do it myself, but no one local to me has the oracle oculus.
@ORACLElights if you want to mail me a set...
I also just got a Tazer to fix my tire size and when I was looking at the other settings I realized my Jeep had thr standard screen splash as well. I just changed it myself, but I find it odd that they forgot to use the Rubicom splash on a lot of the Recons.
If I already have the OEM LEDs do I still need to run the wire to the fuse box or do they just plug and play? Also, if I decide to go with the color shift version of the oculus which controller so you recommend?
