I had high hopes for slapping the front end together in a few hours. In reality with a newborn and all these new parts interacting it took maybe 8 hours broken up in a few days of work.

funny how the length of these shocks require every little bit to be precisely placed. Their large body’s exposed some of my previous mistakes could no longer fly. The axle on the drivers side was slightly forward requiring all the arms to be adjusted just to keep the shock from running into the coil bucket.

Towards the end I got pretty efficient at getting the necessary tools in and out my garage in a few short minutes.

Getting all of this to play nicely together and just mounting the reservoirs was super tedious but well worth it in the end.

With the addition of a new Currie steering stabilizer mount came new issues with its angle of alignment. More fun problems to solve

Big day for the lil sport. If six shocks felt plush how might 8 feel?

Finally stages of our suspension set up. Now it’s just trying to convince my wife that 37’s will truly round out our build.

Well for anyone that stumbles upon this later. Those fox rear bumps actually felt terrible all the way down to 40psi. And in my experience lost way too much up travel. While I run about 1.5in bump spacing in the rear and while the foxes call for at least a 2.5in lift to run. I would steer clear unless you were 3.5-4 inches of lift because the eat up so much up travel it made the ride unbearably rough.

This was the absolute lowest I could run them. They were kidney blasting. Which is so odd because upfront they’re great.

I scrambled and managed to find some new kings on marketplace for 700$ the cutting and welding set me back another $100 but absolutely worth it. We had gone from riding around on a cloud to a wooden rollercoaster.

From wheels off to back on we managed just under an hour for the complete swap of the bumps.

Thank goodness kings run a large plate to help us cover the hole from the foxes. King calls for a 1/4in smaller hole than fox.

These are all the way rolled in. Probably an inch shorter than I need to run. But good enough to get us home so I can do proper set up later

massive difference in how low you could potentially run kings vs Fox. And these are the longer 2in kings. I would recommend the 1.5 shorter versions for most people tho. Even those with higher lifts, just add some blocks if needed. Or what I plan on doing is adding some large rubber blocks used for jewelry making. To help quiet these a bit and help soften the intial contact.

and to save myself some time I found I needed about 3/4 an inch of bumpstop added or to roll these kings down. I couldn’t find my pin wrench for these and rather than fighting the purple locktite I put on any longer I just threw some xr blocks I had laying around back on.

The jeep floats once again. I have zero clue what psi is in these rn but I do know at full flex it’s enough to limit about 1/2 of travel which is fine, and they hit very softly at first. Barely noticeable around town or out on the trail. But they definitely mellow out the bigger hits that once rebounded hard off our rubber bumps.

anyone debating doing this should first run metalcloaks rubber bumps. They were 90% of what these do for us, hindsight I might have ran them longer. But I got a killer deal on the foxes and when they were so harsh I knew the kings could be set much lower and could be valved and adjusted to be much better.

We’ve been noticing a bit of a wiggle out back when running our normal trails lately. The seller of the king bumpstops had this and I was able to snag it as part of the deal.

Install was super easy. Took under 30 mins.

Definitely much beefier than the stock

Of all the parts we run the synergy braces and track bar are some of my favorites.
