Any how, so have had headlight issues since I got her, weird flickering, or are they on???

SO I had to take the grill off...

Popped the top retainers and a quick pull, and it came off w/o having to take the bumper/winch off for a damn headlight bulb.

Pulled driver side off and saw this as soon as I twisted cap off.

Yup, loose and it is a factory QC thing, notice the perfectly clean parts, and blue locktite was not broken

So, I have white headlights now, and they are not blinding, we both drove it at each other. yes they are a cheap led, it fits great with the "jeep grill diffuser" good.


Driver side is new bulb and the 1976 headlight is on the passenger side

I installed my GMRS radio and temporally mounted an antennae .

I installed a Midland MXT115, a Midland 21-406 Ext. Speaker.

Disclaimer all the power points are temporary cigarette lighter plugs. Not a lot of time.

So, I match drilled all the holes for a very tight fit in the plastic for my bolts, this will allow almost zero mount movement or vibration in the plastic to mess up hole diameter over time.

Found a spot on the steering column kick panel, that fit with no blind holes. I prefer to match drill and bolt brackets to plastic.

1st draw a line on tape to mimic mount,

then open up mount to the diameter you need...see above picture.

Me? I am an American, so I used 10-32 bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts.

WHY? Because all the uni-bit things have always been SAE instead of Metric

So, a 10-24 or 10-32 bolt is basically .187 diameter.

The uni-bit can cut a 3/16 or .187 thru metal like the mount, and then set the pre drilled mount on plastic panel. tape or clamp and then drill the 3/16 holes thru the plastic, you will have a nice burr on the back, dont de-burr it.

Screw the bolts thru the mount and the tight NOT deburred holes, washer etc....the extra plastic from the hole , will act as a thread locker combine with old skool lock washers

Done, snap into place.

Installed, I can see the face while driving straight, which should be the only time you would actually look at it

Took the driverside rear door off to remove the fixed glass.

pulled glass out.

WTF jeep? A full tube of glass glue for 1 little windows

So to say this was a PITA is an understatement I'm just glad I didn't say F***** and break it, because lots of blood would of been sacrificed to get all the glued pcs out.

Next? Waiting on the giant swooping blue penis to show up next Tuesday.

Worked on my "changing seat/area"

Welded up mounts using stock mounting points, in and out in a minute or so. This inside camping area will be very modular.

Added an extra inch of hight with seat mounts, so its easier to put boots on and off.

Glued and attached. Very strong and solid.

Worked on heat this evening.

Took some measurements to cut a panel (if I can thaw the water tray) to replace fixed glass panel I removed.

Took apart the heater.

I tightened a few bolts, fixed the kink in the line.

Kink and no grommet, this would of been a pain in the ass from the get go.

I couldn't get in to drill a straight hole, because all the rivets wouldn't let me take it apart with out drilling them out and then replacing them with bolts or rivets, days are ticking away.

I couldn't get a drill bit in, and drill a proper hole for a grommet, so I cobbled this together.

and 2 layers of plastic wire loom cover and some tape, should be good.

I turned all the cheap hoes clamps so they wouldn't rub on the hoses.

Started to revamped an old trailer for a canoe and camping gear hauling.

I built this maybe 20 years ago. I got it out.

I cut off the upright and horizontal

tubes that had swelled and froze over the years.

On the back, that horseshoe thing was a hold down and lock for propane.

Covered storage for grill, paddles, life vests etc.

From hitch back you can see the old cooler mount, down low.

Mostly stripped down. Need to get some seals
and bearings, then I hope to cut up the 3rd member for clearance.

I know panhard bar is crazy angle, BUT it's so light it just moves up and inch or so. Tracks great and has alot of miles on it.
