I believe that tube is not really a rocket launcher (though I could be mistaken ).

I've seen that on lots of the fixed up low riders around so-cal and this inspired me to find out.

Turns out it's an evaporative swamp cooler... low tech A/C. I learnt sumthin new

There was a thread on here a while back about someone who purchased an S without air and had the dealer install aftermarket. Expensive and took a long time, but last I heard it turned out ok. This could have been an option for him...
