Can you share what your money factor (interest rate was) and residual? Was it from dealership lease or an affiliated bank? I'm trying to get what rates are out there before I go in and possibly lease.
Skeptical with the accuracy of these numbers; but I hope Im off on my math guessing game and Wranglerguy gives us the MF/RV to equate this wizardry
I’ll be honest with you guys, I have the slightest of clue with all of that. One of my buddy’s has a leasing company and I asked him what rates are out there and that’s what he gave me.

Maybe on a JK, but even then I’m saying impossible. You got me shaking my head brother. Even below invoice on a JL Rubicon I can’t see it, something is missing. Otherwise post your guys phone #, he will lease 100 at that rate within a few minutes. I’ll be #1...

Your statement brings up many unanswerable questions as to date...People have been awaiting to see what the “actual” leasing numbers (MF/RV) are. Most likely Feb 1st brings that to light. Regardless, it sounds like you got your purchase completed via cash or finance....Congratulations Sir!

I got a lease offer for 456 a month, 750 down payment for 36 months for a Rubicon 12k miles. 51k was the msrp. I declined it for finance.
I am curious why you decline for finance? You know you can buy out the lease at the end and still pay almost the same amount leasing than financing it. Only when you choose to lease and go to another lease after and keep going do you lose money when using down payments or least what i read and researched.

I’m calling BS on that deal. Like I said, there would be a line far as the eye can see for that deal. Doesn’t exist...

This deal is impossible first of all you have to put down 2500 next the payment should be in mid 500s like $550.000 per month 10k miles

Too much money down
From your posts it looks like you factory ordered and you are leasing. Is that right?

Did you get lease terms from your dealer when you ordered? I'm having trouble with that.

Ok i hear this all the time but i don't really understand why. Why wouldn't you put money down?[/QUOT

becsuse the residual is 60% and not 24% you put more money down with lower residual . It’s not that big of difference in a leese so you want to put as little as possible. 2500 is only $30.00 difference with Jeep

In my lease calculator i did the difference on my build between $0 down and $2500 down.

It's $75/month. And it saves $200 over the course of the lease.

$5000 down doubles it. So $150 off the payment and $400 less out of pocket at the end of the lease.

So maybe you wouldn't do it but it doesn't seem objectively bad to me.

I may be off on something. I wonder why our math is so different.

And I also ran this same scenario with my loan calculator. 5 year loan at 2.4%.

You put $5,000 down and after 3 years you only save about $2,000 in residual value. The payment is lower by $90. So total after 3 years you are only ahead $275 compared to $400 on the lease.

It takes the full 5 years to get the exact same $400 benefit you get on the lease.

But putting more money down is smart on the loan but dumb on the lease.

I'm trying to understand it but i can't make it work.
