I need some clarification on the various types of bags that come with the Soft Top/Premium Soft Top for my Interactive Delivery Checklist.

From reading the various checklist threads, it seems there are several different types of bags that may come with the various top options.

Hard Top: Freedom Panel storage bag included at no cost.

Soft Top:
There is a soft-top window storage bag (Option Code CWJ) available for an extra charge.

Is there also a bag for storing the whole soft top itself when it is off the Jeep?
If so, does it come with all soft tops, or just the premium soft top?
If so, does it come included when the soft top is your only top, or does it only come when you get the dual top option, where the soft-top is boxed upon delivery?

I appreciate any help you can give. I want to be handing out the correct info and not cause issues at delivery.

Many thanks!

We've ordered the Dual Top Package. There was a bag for the Freedom Panels and a bag for storing the soft top when it's off the Jeep. Needed to order the Soft Top Window bag.

I believe if you order it with the Jeep build it’s only $75. It’s something $130 if you buy it after the fact (or was when I bought mine).

Awesome. I appreciate it.

Does anyone know if you order one with only the soft top, does it come with a storage bag?

If you go build one online, the window storage bag is an option for $75.

Thanks.

But I'm talking about the bag for storing the whole soft top when it's off the Jeep, not just the windows.

I see. I don’t know if such a thing exists from Mopar, but there are folks here who surely know about that sort of thing.

FWIW, if they don’t exist, someone else here posted a neat hack to use a Christmas tree storage bag for storing your rear seat if you take it out. It fits well and helps keep vermin etc out during storage, so there may be something similar of a size that would work for storing a removed soft top.

I've thought about this as well - I bought mine with dual tops last fall and haven't "stored" the soft top yet. I have yet to find a bag for it (I've looked for a while on and off), although I did keep the material that it was wrapped in for shipping. Definitely not air tight but would keep dirt/dust off of it for the most part, but I'm not sure I'll even get that to work (it's flimsy and doesn't look like it'll secure well).

I was thinking I'll probably just do what @Rufus said - find a storage tote that it'll fit in with all the associated pieces.

The thread about rear seat storage is here and the user who came up with the life hack posted the Amazon link to the bag: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/rear-seat-storage-bag-solution.11573/

I ordered one last week. Not bad for $15 I must say.

A larger size might fit the soft top. When I do remove my rear seats I’ll put them in the bag and add moth balls/dryer sheets/cedar blocks to help repel vermin if they do make their way in to the bag, since I will be storing them someplace where I won’t have frequent access to check them. I would think you’d want to do the same with the soft top.

Well, that's one vote for Dual Top coming with a storage bag for the whole soft top. Based in Canada.

I wonder if this is a Canada only thing, or what.

More data, please!

I wonder if the soft top storage bag is a Mopar item or something aftermarket that maybe your dealer threw in for free? Does it have any markings on it?

I don't have one to check. I pulled the reference to it from one of the other checklist threads. I put it on the interactive checklist I built based on that, and someone asked a question about it. I'm trying to get to the bottom of it so my checklist isn't putting out incorrect info.

I am the second owner of my '18 JLUR and it came with the dual top option. The soft top was never taken out of the box, in fact it was still sealed. The soft top was wrapped in a thin vinyl with velcro ends that helps hold and protect the soft top. I am planning on using that when I store it this winter. I haven't had the soft top off since installing it so I haven't played with it to see how well it works. But it was in the soft top box and it was a US order/delivery.
