Hahah ok, I’m not the safety police or anything and I believe it’s a persons choice to be as safe as they wish. With that being said a rear end collision with no head rest could be fatal. Just lookin out for a fellow Jeeper.

Understood...and I'm aware. Suspect the incidence of injury from rear-ends is maybe less than from various off-road activities?

Got naked first time in the JL! Recent upgrades include terafelx 2.5” w/ 9555 shocks, Maximus stinger, smitty xrc winch, Artec cowl light mounts (rigid cubes inbound), dv8 rocker skins, limb risers, rugged ridge headlight guards, also rear hi lift jack mount, w/ shovel and axe. Having fun w/ this thing - been to Rausch Creek, Wild Cat Off Road Park - KY, the Cove in VA, and Windrock Off Road park - TN...and been in some tight spots - mud and water coming in thru the doors...Just rolled over 20k miles - not a single complaint to date - and intend to keep testing this when I PCS transfer to the west coast! Next up are inner/outer fenders, rugged ridge tail light guards (on hand), prime & paint muffler black, rough country muffler skid (on hand), rigid cubes and line-x for the tub! Still researching complete skids and new rockers...

Mine has been clean, no codes, since installing the CAI.

Have about 400 miles on it so far; past a tank refill; and earlier today 60 miles from home to IAD in stop and go traffic as it was a nightmare for some reason.

Let me know what it is....

Correct. The antenna on the side is only AM/FM. The satellite radio receiver is in the roll bar above your head.

as soon as i read your post, i realized there's a second antenna for the xm.

Installed the Rugged Ridge Elite Antenna Base with a Ronin Factory Stubby Antenna! Looks clean.

How is your am/fm reception with this set up? Looks good.

how is the stubby antenna. do you get the same radio range from the stock one. specifically the xm radio.

The AM/FM is as good as it was before, so no negative effect whatsoever. It does look 100x better, and no more banging with the extra long antenna.

As someone else already posted, XM is a completely different antenna since the transmission is via satellite and does not use the regular radio antenna.
