does anybody know what light bar will fit across the top of the bar between the two tabs? I understand it would be a 10" correct?

I installed the XRC this past weekend. I like the looks of this bumper but beware it is just not sized to fit Warn winches. I tried to pair it with a Warn Zeon 10s. The bumper its self was a pretty easy install but fitting the winch in the bumper took about 4 hours. where the winch mounts you have to cut the upper+inner corners off of both frame rails. This bumper only mounts with the other 3 holes anyway. Install tip, use a pneumatic die grinder because you will overheat your dremmel before the first cut is made.

Once you hack up your new $50,000+ jeep's frame you will find that the bumper also needs to be cut before the winch can line up with the mounting holes in the bumper. Once you finish grinding your new bumper and the winch is in you will come to the realization that if you need to ever replace your headlight bulbs you will have to completely remove the winch from the vehicle. To replace headlight bulbs you have to take off the grill and the winch is right against it.

Final thoughts are I like the bumper's looks and the winch does fit after A LOT of work, The construction is very strong and it checked off all of my must-haves: 1. winch sits between the frame rails for airflow and looks, 2. uses factory fog lights, 3. has a manly bull bar, 4. has a skid for the electric sway bar disconnect.

With the extra weight of the bumper and winch over the factory plastic bumper it sits right about 3/4 of an inch lower at the axle than it did before. If you are wondering the factory plastic bumper weighs 32 pounds.

Here are the pictures

Both corners have finish damage. Strange thing is the box was perfect, this tells me it was packed that way.

Here is where i had to grind the bumper to make it fit

The other side technically fit but it is right against the steel of the bumper so a winch cover cannot fit to protect the expensive rope.

sounds like you had some issues.
How is the space between the winch and your fogs? do you think the Ridgid D-series cubes would fit between a zeon 10S-PLATINUM?

There is plenty of room for fog lites. I have the factory halogen lites and there is enough room to change the bulbs as long as i spool out the line. The winch will fit, you just have to be ok with doing some cutting to make it happen. You also have to be good with scraping some of that factory Warn paint off of the corner of the winch, yo can see in my second to last picture. Now that it is in I am very happy with the bumper.

Thanks Dadgummit you jeep looks sweet.
I really want the Warn wench but I just cant bring myself to grind the bumper to make it fit. I live in Toronto Canada so it would start to rust after one winter for sure if I grind off the finish.
Please take a min or two and measure the bolt holes in the top tabs on the bull bar for me 8).
Im trying to figure out if a 10" bar will fit across the top.
11.2" is the exact width of the bar.
Thanks for your help.

It would fit. You would need to add about .4 of an inch spacer on either side between the bracket and the bar.

Here is a top down view of the mounting tabs

The lower tabs are about 9" apart, maybe a little less:

There are 2 pairs of upper holes. The inside ones are 12" and the outside ones are 14"

Oh, Also. I wouldn't avoid the bumper because of the finish. You are bound to knock some of the finish off sometime. Rustoleum flat black blends in pretty good.

If I were to do it again, I would still get this bumper but I would go with Warn's Chinese winch like the VR12s. That one would fit easier and they are still good quality.

I added one Saturday. It’s really simple and instructions were good I do like the look of it a lot. My only concern is I fear that the sway bar disconnect is really exposed and I’m having no luck finding a front dam skid plate for this bumper. Any thoughts on this or am I just being paranoid?

One other issue is in the instructions it says to level the bumper. Mine slopes slightly forward. I can use shims to kick it up a bit but is it necessary? From the pics in this post they look the same as mine. Is this another non issue? And yes, I’m OCD.

I like the Smittybilt XRC Gen2 77807 front bumper (have the S/B77858 rear bumper as well) but you can not reuse the factory LED fog lights. The factory halogen fog light housings fit perfecting as well as the halogen harness. I am researching LED bulb options as I do not wish to splice any wiring. Also, I mounted this bumper on my Rubicon Unlimited with the RC suspension lift and even with the Smittybilt XRC 12K winch, I'm not noticing any sag.

Hi Monge. Your jeep looks great.
Ive ordered the Smittybilt bumper just like yours and I'm having issues of coarse, with finding fogs that will fit as I have the Steel rubicon bumper and mine wont fit. i plan on putting some ridgid cubes in and ordered the D-series Pro and their fog light bracket only to find out today that the ridgid fog light bracket only fits in the Steel bumper! I really want to use the lights so I thought Id ask you how you mounted your cubes? What size are they? Were the items that came with the bumper used when you mounted your cubes or did you use brackets that came with the cubes?
Thanks for your time and help on this. It's really appreciated.
If anybody has any info on this please feel free to chime in!!

Thanks! Frosty has been fun to build and add-on to! The fogs are the black series fog light cubes from Inspired Engineering... The mounting brackets came with the bumper. Easy to install... Using the existing wiring harness with adapters...no cutting or splicing! Enjoy!

Ya but what size are they? how did the attach to the bumper bracket? Did they come with any mounting hardware like a surface mount that worked with the bumper hardware? I would prefer to go with the Ridgid Industries that I have on order. The ridgids are 3"x3".

Smittybilt includes the square frame and the securing bracket. Those fogs look like they are the same size so no problems. Just make sure they have the wire harness plug adapters so no cutting/splicing...

Is the securing bracket the circle one? I'm just concerned that the circle that smittybilt provides isnt 3"x3" and a surface mount on the pod isnt the correct type.
sorry for all the questions and thanks again for the quick replies 8}

An S4 type fog light is what it calls for. My IE Black Series did not specify they were S4 yet they fit perfectly. Your best bet is to call Smittybilt support to be 100% sure. That’s what I would do.

Alright finally received the bumpers and a few other items so Installed them this week end.
Smittybilt didnt pack any plastic cover or rubber caps for the 4 holes in the rear bumper for the sensors. GRRRRR trying to get in touch with somebody at Smittybilt isnt the easiest thing to do.
Thanks again Dadgummit. The 10" light bar mounted up perfectly.
Now I'm just waiting on the wench, fogs, and cubes/brackets and then we will be done faze 2.
