I had made Jerry Can Carriers for my 2015 JK, and adapted them to work on my JL. The mirror brackets make a nice solid mount for Doors Off Days, when the rain stops for longer than 15 minutes..

Installed Midland MXT275 GMRS radio. Being OCD I really wanted to screw the mount into a solid surface under dash or behind glove box. There really isn't anything. I finally found a good spot behind passenger speaker. I put a piece of foam around it to keep it from vibrating. It fit perfect! Read through manual. Pretty straight forward. I moved CB mic down to the holder on CB base unit and I'll leave GMRS mic up high. Also I used an ethernet coupler and short extension so I didn't eat up my coiled cord on mic.

David, thanks for posting about this radio and the coupon code. I bought the same Midland and got 20% off, so thanks! I am installing mine now and was wondering where exactly you got power? I can't recognize where the pic is on the Jeep. Obviously, I'm stupid and would appreciate any help.

Installed Teraflex 4.5 springs with matching Falcon 3.1 shocks. The ride is smooth. No bumpsteer. Tracks straight. Greased all the arms wit Rock Krawler 000 grease...this baby is smooth. OLD fabtech Lift is gooooooone

Installed the Bestop Sunrider. Love how easy it is to flip open/closed.

Unplugged driver door. I realized that with manual windows and locks, all the plug did was keep me from putting it in gear with the door open.

I get out to open gates, drive 20 feet through them at 1mph, and then get out to close them. Every day.

I’m aware of the extreme danger inherent in doing so with the door open, but I like to live way out on the ragged edge.

Another nanny dead. Hallelujah!
