ORDER TRACKING for your Jeep Wrangler

Good Morning Everyone!

I know everyone is experiencing the waiting game pains. My Jeep has been in D1 status for 2 weeks now with no eta on ship date. Is this normal? I thought a ship date was assigned at D1 status. This process has been a little frustrating as I have never built a car before and my Dealer said it would take 3 weeks from when I purchased (obviously a ploy to get me to buy right then and there) and it's obviously going to take a lot longer. Also does anyone know transit times to Georgia?

I was in D1 for 20 days. With an original eta of 2/5. Then nothing until 2/9...now it’s built, passed inspection, and waiting to come south.

Is anyone aware if the $500 "Golden Ticket" can be used is your JL has shipped? My dealer is telling me that if it is "in transit", I can actually purchase the JL and use my $500 coupon. Its frustrating. Order was 12/14. D1 was 1/4. JB was 1/15. KZ was 2/5. My delivery ETA was 2/28-3-3. Now its moved beyond 3/5. Expiration on coupon for all of us is 2/28. Has anyone heard of this or any concerns with "pre buying" a vehicle?

On a side note, I have never shown on Jay's sheet. He has never seen me on his system which has also been odd about my order. The only thing making me feel a little more comfortable is I can print my window sticker.......

I suspect if we pay while in route, we lose some leverage if there are issues.

I appreciate the response! That is also my concern about pre- paying while in transit. Also, would I own the vehicle and be responsible for shipping damage if I have already bought it? May not be worth the loss of sleep to save $500! I have already become obsessed with this whole situation much less add this to my list of issues......

I have asked my dealer for purchase order so I can complete my financing stock credit union. He is telling me he can not write up the purchase order until vehicle is physically in stock. I would imagine same would need to apply for any jeep incentives unless they are willing to backdate the day of sale once it arrives.

Don't want to search 360 pages for the answer so I'll just ask. I ordered my 2dr Rubicon last Friday so it is probably way to early to start tracking, but - when and where, other than the dealer, can I track the status of my order?

In about 9 days or so, the spreadsheet here will most likely open again...

Go to Jeep Chat and talk to an agent. I check every few days. I got my VIN two days after placing my order and went to D1 a few days after that.

I was in status "I" for 24 days when I got to know that they've changed my VON and VIN (so probably getting a new car) as of Feb 1st.
Coming up on 2 months after the order...the new VIN is in status JB as of a few days ago.

Not happy...but at least hopefully I'll not get a lemon when eventually the car arrives.

I've been in JB for almost a week now as well. They are backed up with production ramping up. Did you order dual tops? Cold weather mats? From what I understand, it's not decals, but optional upgrades that aren't installed on the main line. I ordered both dual tops and all weather mats.

Edit: I now think JB is for both decals and upgrades depending on the location (VDC vs BODY_VEND)

I am right with you all! I have both duel tops and all weather mats. My original Rubicon order was 12/14/17 and it has been delivered and already purchased! Barely hit the lot! I am so excited and just struggle with the wait! I reordered on 1/8/18 to add the Remote Proximity Keyless Entry and that has me a few weeks behind. I guess patience is a virtue!

Still hopeful by months end! Missed the last train by a few days (KZ status was a day or two behind a few others that are mid way to CA.).
