@BbyGrlJJ and I picked up clear side markers from our neighbors @Diode Dynamics. They look great! Thanks guys! The product fit well and had no issues installing. I do have a quicker way to install these, check my build thread and will post in their thread on these as well. :rock:

@jlewissystem

Are you seeing a gap (maybe different gap dependent of side) with that aftermarket clear side marker. The first guys here that installed them have a gap between the lenses that is noticeable.

I had a pair ordered but canceled. The manufacturer said they were aware of a fit issue and had posted the issue (they did) so buyer's would be aware. They said that eventually they would try for a better fit.

Anyway, so you have a space/gap right between the their product and the stock? Again, one side may be better or worse then the other. It can't be adjusted out. I will order again, if the fit is right, now..

Will re-check for you later today. As i mounted, it was not noticeable....i did look. I want to say it "may" have created a 1mm gap. Like i said - will check and re-post pics.

Installed Rancho rear shock and control arm skid plates. Installed Rock Krawler sway bar disconnects. Fabricated mount and installed Rocky Mounts track using inspiration from @wyatt209 (https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/diy-gps-spot-phone-gopro-mount.16602/).

The disconnects put the sway bar at too high an angle but that seems to be a common theme with the smaller lifts. I had to drill out the hole a bit wider to get the passenger side adapter to fit but it wasn’t too much work. I didn’t like the options that required cutting the factory tab.

The Rancho skid plates were pretty easy to install. Don’t know how necessary they are but nice to have some extra protection. Waiting on the diff skids to arrive.

There is a thread somewhere on here about them. I've had a few pop up, so I need to re-seat them, but for the price the quality is excellent and you can tailor the vent flow.

In case this product disappears or the URL changes in the future, the title is:

24 Square Plastic Finishing Plugs Fit 5/8" Great for Jeep Wrangler JL Vents

and the seller is 'dangoodbuy'.

Is there an issue with vent flow on these? I've not noticed anything that made me think..."if I could just block those off". I guess my question is, what is the purpose?

20 page thread about this. LOL. I haven't had much of a chance to test it but many people have trouble with the defrost primarily coming out the middle vents and not actually defrosting the entire windshield.

https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/question-regarding-the-windsheld-defrost.15276/

I bought them just in case since they are cheap and easy to install and were recommended by people on here who I trust (even if they don't like me).

Thanks! I just found some on Amazon. I don't need 24 of them, rather only 8 or so. Great price too.

No, I didn't. I thought based on previous comments that I would have to but it wasn't required. I did have to use a rubber mallet to get the passenger side in place but it was otherwise fairly painless. The worst part was loosening and then tightening the control arm bolts/nuts. The inside nut is a bit of a pain with the wheel on but do-able. I honestly expected more trouble but both were fairly easy. I really am impressed with the Rancho stuff so far. Thick, heavy duty, good welds, and the red color is perfect.
