It’s a wrangler so it’ll be removable.

This is what it looks like on my JK. There was a diaper like thing under the carpet in front. The beaded caulk looking stuff is sound deadener. That black spot in front of the drain plug is rust inhibiting primer I had to spray after grinding away rust that was forming. The joys of leaking tops and plastic floor mat clips wearing away the paint.

No pics anywhere that I can find.
there was a company that makes a rubber liner that replaces the carpet, I think they made a video showing removal and install, but I am too lazy to look for it now

Yeah I remove them all the time in my JK. But read somewhere that the clips are now on the floor on the JL so the mats still stay in place when you have the carpet out. Hope that’s true.
