Do they actually work?

I am driving down to Daytona for Jeep Beach next week and will find out and report back. One thing is for certain, it will protect the front of the hood and it is attractive and looks like it belongs.

Since it is getting bug season in Florida, I wanted to protect my hood and possibly the windshield from bugs. I looked an a number of options and decided on the Auto Ventshade 436148 Aeroskin II Textured Black Flush Mount Hood Protector for 2018-2018 Jeep Wrangler JL and found it for $88 on Amazon. I like the shield since it matches the texture and color of the from bumpers and painted fender trim on my JLUR. You simply use the double sided 3M tape (included) to affix the shield to the hood. I love the low profile!

Has it helped with the bugs on your hood and windshield?

Painted the my Sahara grille inserts “Polished Metal Metallic”, has a nice dark matte and metallic grit to it. Got rid of that cheap plasticky feel of the trim panels. Bumpers are next on the list.

I’ll have to take better photos because this was done at night while working on it, my phone doesn’t have enough dynamic range to capture both the light and the Jeep. Will take again during the day under a sunny day. It looks absolutely beautiful btw. Better than Jeep led lamps IMO.

Any issues with adjusting the beam height? These look good and I like the price, but if they're not adjustable I don't want to be blinding everyone.

Have to washers for adjustment.
I actually found out they didn’t need adjustment, came out perfect on my Jeep, I added plastic washer to the top two bolts and test drove it and found it to be actually too low. I took the washers out and it was bang on perfect. Did the 25ft test, last pic was of the cut off with washer, actually too low.

I have had it on for 1 day, but I will update after my Jeep Beach trip to Daytona next week. From what I have read online, it does a little to help the windshield.

Got the tuffskinz foam cup holders in but I’m not sure I like them. They seem to block the light of the cup holder.

I initially thought the same thing, but then after I had them in for awhile I realized, what the heck am I trying to see down there anyway? So yea, a couple months later I still have them in, and it kinda bugs me, but not enough to remove them. That said, I do wish they were about 2 mm less thick...

Installed Quadratec's new aluminum engine skid plate. Weighs 46 pounds total. The aluminum plate weighs just 20 pounds. This one has a beefy crossbar that replaces the transmission cross brace that is used for mid section anchoring, total of three brace areas. Just noting the difference between the M.O.R.E. and the EVO only has two anchor points, front and rear. The install was easy, very good quality parts, no alignment issues.

One thing that I don't like is that, because of the drop in the pan (see last picture), you lose about 3/4" inch or so of clearance. The cross brace is thick! May not be an issue for those with lifts. I just got Rubicon suspension take offs, that should more than compensate.

I have had them installed in my center console cup holders for 7 months now. I really like them!

Yes, they do block the light output in the cup holders a tad but not that much..

Actually, I like the lighting with the inserts better.. not bright but you see light in bottom to aim your cup/can at.

The inserts, look good ... come up easily to clean..
