ORDER TRACKING for your Jeep Wrangler

Okay, so here is the thing.... I ordered my JLUR on 1-2-18 in Granite as a surprise for my wife and my 70th birthday.

It is being delivered next week to Koon's so I told her about it so we can make plans.

She wanted to see the JLU and the color so we took a 4 hour road trip and drove 4 and looked at colors.

When she saw the Ocean Blue on a Chrysler 300...................

Well, Craig let me off the hook for the one I ordered and let me order an Ocean Blue JKUR exactly equipped and transferred my deposit.

That is service for a customer that is 900 miles away.

BUT - Now the wait begins again and I have to wait to see if I can get on tracking.......... Crap!

Fun times had by all..........

I think the railcar shortage is due to Chinese New Year starting Feb 16th. Hugh increase in intermodal cargo prior to their big holiday.

My dealer called this morning to let me know my Jeep arrived! He was happy he got to tell me, rather than the other way around. He hates it when the forum steals his thunder! Picking it up tomorrow afternoon!

Bad day for it to go down but the world goes on thankfully We had some issues with the tracking system late in the day so the update will have to be tomorrow, sorry all.

Rail tracking for a Jeep headed SouthEast from Toledo (ultimately VA) in case anyone is interested. Basically what would be a 56 minute drive took roughly 29 hours via freight train. I do not pretend to know the logistics behind railways, but its not a fast process so far. FIne by me, I am still attempting to private sale my JK! I assume the Detroit yard is a main hub, and it will gain some considerable distance over the next few days once it departs.
