Good morning, Jay and JLWF Dealer Guy! I noticed you don’t have my dealer info on the tracking sheet and thought I would share that with you. It is Lebanon Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep in Lebanon, OH. Thanks for your hard work and kind service that you are providing! Went from D1 to JB yesterday, so hopefully it won’t be too long! Cheers!

@JeepCares

Don't do it!
@darylkeys ...I agree man DON'T DO IT! I starting feeling the same way but then I realized..., this is EXACTLY what I want, I had a hand in building it, and I'll be one of the first few folks to own one... I know it's tough but don't do @darylkeys
The Force is not strong with this one
I'm going to have to disagree here. I'm with @darylkeys . In fact, I ordered three days after him and I'm feeling the exact same way. We ordered before there were prices. We ordered without knowing which rims were standard and which were optional. Our orders were in before the LA Auto Show reveal. (Remember how that was going to be the end-all info dump?) We did that because we were committed to the JL and we wanted to be one of the first.

Despite that commitment to FCA, they turned around and filled unsold dealer orders. They haphazardly built sold orders in no logical order. They provided little information, and when they did, it was conflicting and inconsistent.

We watched @newJLUguy 's Jeep get stolen. And we saw FCA do nothing (yet) to remedy it. Or make it clear it couldn't happen to any one of us again. I still imagine mine getting "rerouted" like his now that I'm at 64 days and counting.

We were very early orders. We (and I hate to use this term, but) deserved to be rewarded for our commitment with Jeeps that arrived ahead of the ones we've read about on this forum "my sister who doesn't know a JL from a YJ walked into the dealer the other day to service her Liberty and now she has a JL Rubi."

I have wanted this Jeep for, well, decades, but when I decided I would get one, I became obsessed. I read every post, downloaded the leaked User Manuals and read every page, and I watched every unveiling video for months. Now I find myself avoiding this forum because I have a bad taste in my mouth about the way FCA has built the JL and communicated its progress.

I am in the same boat. Why not cancel and go buy one of two dozen Jeeps on dealer lots within 100 miles of my house? I can have it today. Like that guy's sister who wandered in and bought one.

100% agreed on all. Don't forget to add:
  • FCA has sent out "Golden Tickets" to people who specifically let FCA know they were interested in buying a new JL. Yet, probably 95% of these Golden Tickets will never get used since they all expire well before the customers orders are delivered.
  • The excitement of ordering a vehicle pre-December the no one has yet and knowing i'd have one of the first is gone. I drive past the dealership in Delray Beach (Schumacher Jeep) and they've got JL's rolling in everyday. This is the dealer who refused to take my order on 11/02.
  • Order process. A week after placing my order (very early December) I decided I wanted to add the Steel Bumper Group. My dealer said "The order was already scheduled, we can't make changes anymore". Well It wasn't until probably 6-7 weeks AFTER that when my JL entered the line. Really? You can't add a $1295 option to my Jeep 7 weeks before you make it? Yes, I can put it on aftermarket, but what is the reasoning for this?
  • Even while the production of my Jeep began, their damn tracking system is so antiquated, no one, including my dealer could even see up to date when I was in D1 or when it hit the line. All this investment into the future of the company and in 2018 you can provide customers with truthful information about their $50k investments?
Just have an overall bad taste. Its still sitting in Toledo, which means its AT LEAST 3 weeks until I see it at a minimum. Likely putting me at a full 3-Months from order to delivery with all these deliveries in the middle. Not to mention the guys who actually got orders in on 10/24 like @cctvtec who don't have their cars yet.

Oh believe me, I feel all of the early-orderers are entitled to feel miffed when the information coming to us has no rhyme or reason to it. Remember @wired? He was waiting forever too. If I remember correctly, his order was stagnant and then, out of the blue, he was flying through production. This may be the same with you and @darylkeys. So, when and where did you order from? What was your build?

I feel like that sort of commitment to the customer died in the 50s and 60s. Today theres just so many people, and FCA knew no matter how they handled this launch the product was going to sell. It's sloppy and I'm not defending them. I absolutely think you guys should reset your orders, it seems like 4 to 6 weeks is the average waiting time now, or simply pick up a dealer allocation. It won't feel as special if you don't put in a sold order though ;)

My order is built and in KZ sitting on the Toledo speedway since 1/29.
Ordered 11/28 from Joey Accardi in Pompano Beach, FL. My salesman was great, but knew nothing about the JL yet as there was no launch yet, I knew all the details from JLWF. He was cool though and did exactly what I asked.

I think we’ve all had run ins with dealerships that didn’t know much at all about the JL. One guy in Ft. Myers told me that the JLs weren’t available to order until 2019. Well, I’m hoping you get the notification that it’s unexpectedly shipped. Stranger things have happened. Have you searched for your window sticker?

Yeah, my window sticker has been available for days. The Jeep is literally released and ready to go... But just sitting there doing NOTHING. If there was some kind of "Mr. Daryl your jeep is slated to load on X date and arrive on X date, that would be great. But the "Your order is in the shipping phase, at this time we have no ETA or other information. Please check back in a week for an update" sucks. Excuse me? It's in the "shipping phase" and you know nothing about it?
