Picked up Jeep today after getting Mopar 2” lift installed with 37 x 12.50 R17’s on it. Had the spare tire carrier, dash, and shocks painted firecracker red. Had all the work done at Urban Jeep Outfitters in NJ, they did a great job.

The painted shocks leaving the FOX info looks nice, different. Interesting.
I'll be doing my dash, but I'll be doing a satin finish in Mojito so it isn't so glossy.

I like your setup

Parked "KING-CON" next to a stock rubi(had few upgrades).

And for those wondering what 35's and Mopar 2" looks like compared to stock...
Considering the # of lights I have, you've made me feel so much better. ;)

I don't think you understand how the world works. Police, mainly deputies and troopers, look specifically for violations like that to pull you over to look for bigger violations such as DUI, drugs, guns. And depending on the jurisdiction they have to write a ticket for the reason of the stop so they don't get accused of an invalid stop. And I know everyone on this forum claims they don't do any of the more serious violations even though facts show if you are willing to violate small vehicle laws you are more likely to violate the bigger laws.
And I'm using the collective 'you'.

Of course you know what you are talking about. Here troopers have made big dollar drug arrests on the interstate by stopping people not signalling a lane change, not pulling over to another lane at an accident, even excess window tint. It happens everywhere.

Tinted windows are a sore spot for many police. We were trained in the academy when we approach a car, especially after dark, to check the trunk was closed, to stand behind the driver's window and not to stand in the position where the door opening could point at us. Each of those situations based on cops being killed. Also in many places if the driver's window is heavily tinted the officer will pull his gun because he can't see in. If police had their way no windows would be tinted and most drivers if they were in their shoes wouldn't want to approach a vehicle they couldn't see into. The saying goes it is better to face six sitting in a jury box instead of six carrying your coffin.

Anytime I've had tinted windows and happened to get pulled over, all windows get rolled down and the dome light get turned on. Don't care if it's cold or the vehicle gets wet, it's more about making them feel more comfortable walking up to the car.

Not too bad. Tricky parts were cutting the hole in the dash and running the wiring down to the glovebox area... Making the hole on top of the dash was the most stressful part because I was cutting blindly into the dash and not really knowing what was behind where I was making the hole. I did drill a small pilot hole first, then make sure I wasn't going to cut anything.

To make the hole, I had to heat up a hole saw bit and use it to melt the hole. I went this route because I couldn't fit my drill and drill bit on top of the dash without hitting the windshield.

You'll need these parts:
Wiring adapter: https://www.quadratec.com/p/quadratec/12-volt-power-adapter-jeep-wrangler-jl
USB Socket: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CVNL274/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Short, 90° USB cable (usb type C): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077M1TBQV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I've been thinking about doing this as well if I put a phone mount up there. But since I use CarPlay, I would not wire it directly to power, but to one of the connections in the dash that are already there. Has anyone pulled that piece out yet? I'm sure it's some sort of micro usb connection I'd need an adapter for, but haven't seen a pic of it yet.

Then I'd use something like this to mount up in the dash location like yours.

Did you get the standard or Tuesday XL? And how well do they work keeping the rocks from flying?
I got the XLs. I haven't put many miles on since I installed them but so far, so good

I'll post more in the flap thread once I get to drive around in them for a while, especially though weather

One boring task and one fun one...

Added the license plates and removed dealer frames!

Got my GPCA handles powder coated candy apple red. Once it warms up, I will get these installed.

....and an Airaid throttle body spacer. Yes, it does add noticeable difference. Small difference, but noticeable.
