Other than the obvious lacking "convenience" features such as auto hi-beams and especially rain sensing wipers, my biggest concern is a safety one.
I took delivery of my JLUR on Tuesday and discovered my drivers side (LED) headlight was flickering. By the time I got to the dealership Tuesday afternoon, it was completely out, but they told me to bring it back Wed afternoon. Well, Wed morning it was working again, then started flickering, then worked perfectly by the time I got to the dealership. Regardless, we knew there was an issue, so I left it with them and they said the headlight is bad so they ordered a replacement that will be here next week. Rather than drive the POS they gave me for a loaner, I picked the Jeep back up and the light has been completely out since then. (Maybe they've got it disconnected knowing that it was bad?)
Now that the back-story is out of the way, my concern is that I have not gotten a single warning of the light being out. Not when it was flickering or out before I took it to the dealership, and not since it's been out since I picked it back up.
That's pretty concerning that I can headlight completely inoperable yet not get any type of warning/code telling me I've got a light out.
Does anyone else have the LED lighting package that's had issues with their lights, specifically the headlights, and have you gotten any kind of warning light telling you that it's inoperable?

I know warning systems were around a long time for tail lights and turn signals which are really not something you can detect driving but are there really systems to tell a driver they have a headlight out? I must be way behind the times in terms of car technology.. Heck.. if we are at the point of needing a car to tell us when a headlight is out it should be driving itself as well and make the appointment for a dealer visit. We humans are being replaced by automation and robots and we are becoming the minority and losing our street smarts. Wish I was young again :( ... Ahh.. The good ole' days.

There has never been a warning to tell you your headlight is out. If you can’t tell just by driving down the road, should you really even be driving?
Wow.. thanks for the sanity check Mike.. I was really doubting myself here thinking I was way behind the times.

So it is a POS because it didn't email you that the light may be bad? How about drop the exaggeration and just ask a question? You only weaken your statement by doing that.

A warning light to tell you your HEADLIGHT is out is stupid. Your warning “light” is when you can’t see light on the road. You need your drivers license revoked.

That's the bad thing about LEDs, more difficult to detect that they're out because they don't have much power draw/resistance. I guess I agree that it would be nice if my Jeep would tell me that a light had a problem but don't know that I would go quite as far in complaining as OP. Most lights I can easily tell if they're not working properly.

Jeeps lots of jeeps
Never heard of a headlight warning light...

That being said, based on your complaints it sounds like you would be better suited with a luxury car. Jeeps aren't for everyone.

I would not expect to see this technology on a Wrangler. But wouldn't be surprised to see it in the near future, just look at the what they've added since the JK...

The good is that it will be a warranty replacement.
