Dash instrument cluster failure after two days

I have the same issue with my 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Only in the mornings, never the afternoon. Tach and Speedometer freeze and instrument cluster reboot over and over and over until eventually it catches and everything is fine the rest of the day.

Picked my Jeep JLU Sport S up today that I originally dropped off 1/17. Seems to be working well, no dash issues, no u connect issues, etc. Dash cluster was replaced (along with center console handle that broke).
All is good . I’ll check back in later so that there is 2 weeks worth of data to report to you all.

Soooooo, what kind of loaners did you get?? I got a 2018 JK Golden Eagle. Had fun driving it, but so luxurious being back in my JL

I was put in a 2 door JK sport. I have owned 4 CJs, 1 YJ, and 1 TJ, and glad I never owned a JK. I know they have their faithul, but I’m not a fan. I’ve seen people complain about how expensive the JL is but it is light years beyond the JK in materials quality. Glad the dealer could put me in a Wrangler though. Guess they had to do something with all the leftover 17 and 18 JKs. Noticed quite a few at airport rental car places too.

Oh and after a week of cold weather my insterment cluster is still working after new one installed.

Glad to hear you guys are having no issues with the new clusters! I just dropped mine off for the second appointment. Spoke with a new person who said they have to replicate the issue again before taking any next steps. He reassured me that he would keep me updated with any new information as it develops. Also am in contact with JeepCares who have been great so far. Trying to stay optimistic-

Just heard from the service center - they couldn't find a way to fix the cluster, so they are ordering a new one for me. Picking the car up tonight.

New Dash Cluster was replaced today. Had to do some reprogramming but only time will tell now.

Dealler asked to bring the car back for service but would not comment if this is a common problem or not ( clearly it is ). I asked if there is anything I can do myself to troubleshoot and the service person on the phone suggested to disconnect the battery for a few minutes to fully reboot my onboard computer. Did anyone try that and was successful in fixing the problem?

searching the internet for similar reboot problem i did find references to faulty battery connection causing reboots

Hi Roman. Yes. I tried the battery / fuses. Just had the cluster replaced today. I see you are from Jersey ( me too) So the cold weather over the next two days should let me know if the cluster replacement worked.

I'll see if it is worth doing the battery disconnect depending on what i hear

Just wanted to give everyone an update. Today is the second morning with the new dashboard cluster. Happy to report all has been working as designed and no reboots.

It's been since the last week of December and I'm still waiting to hear back from my dealership. I'm so glad they didn't try to keep my jeep.

I'm curious when the Jeeps were assembled. Mine 2019JLW was assembled in October of 18. Wonder if an correlation?
