So any idea as to why? And when they will start building them? I ordered a sport unlimited with the hard top 1/13. I think I will stop in and see my dealer about this. Thanks for all you do Mark

Mine is now at the local railhead, so we’re both in the same town now! Hoping for tomorrow or Saturday...

Most likely a supply issue. Production is full steam it seems and demand is huge. Hard top sales by far out do soft top. It’s not remotely close. You ahould be fine. I wouldn’t worry too much.

Def have your dealer check. FCA doesn’t tell dealers if there’s a problem with parts supplies or requirement changes for Jeeps ordered before the hold or a change on a type of order. That happened to me. Ordered 11/16, went to C on 12/26. Got an official update today that my Jeep won’t be SCHEDULED to be built until mid-February. Dealer had no idea there was even an issue or a requirement for my order that had been mandated by FCA for similar orders.

Sport S, soft top, manual, no LSD, safety and tech, tubular side steps. (The LSD became a requirement earlier this month for Sport S builds with manual, but no notification to dealers unless they actually try to order w/ out LSD, leaving prior orders in limbo.)

Hey guys,
Just curious. Placed my order Jan 2nd (quite fully loaded manual JLUS) haven’t had a VIN yet, and I asked my salesman tonight about the status, still in C.
Do you think it’s because of the LSD ?
I asked him and he said that if it’s required then it would’ve been added automatically on the order... Do you think I should ask him to ask his FCA rep ?
Cause my order is not moving at all, not even a VIN...

Yes! By all means, find out what is going on with your order. It can only benefit you :)

Check your VON. If it’s listed on there you have it. Not sure if the Sahara comes w/ LSD standard or not, as I’ve only been looking at/ interested in the Sport S.
Were you with him when he did the order on the computer? If it was required he would have had to click to accept it (similar to the way Jeep.com requires you to accept changes when selecting options) and would have had to pick an all terrain tire code.
Check with him again and ask if your build has the following two codes: DEM (manual) DEZ (standard, non LSD axle.) If it has DEM and DSA you have the LSD axle.

I’m confused. What is all this discussion of LSD? I ordered a manual..am I supposed to have a LSD?

As of earlier this month (January for those reading this in the future) FCA required the LSD with manual transmission on the Sport S. Not sure if this is the case with higher trims.

If you ordered Oct-Dec and ordered a manual and haven’t had any movement you may want to check with Jeep Chat and/ or have your dealer check on the order. FCA won’t notify dealers there’s an issue with orders placed before required changes and won’t automatically include the changes, but will simply wait until the order is able to be built.

Went to dearship today showed me as KZ

Had a granting rubi similar to my build so I parked my 17 next to it and took a few pictures.

Btw as far as pricing goes I worked out a buy and lease, I am choosing to buy.

Here is the pricing options I had.
Shore2shore credit union just approved me.

Going to put the $1300 down

Dealer offer lease I rejected, but here is the info.

FFP $49,377 money factor 0.00165 (3.96%) 70% residual. US BANK

36 months, 10k miles, $700 down
$565 monthly
39 months, 10k miles, $700 down

When I ordered my Sport S LSD wasn’t required but FCA changed that. Then FCA decided to just hold my order and not notify my dealer after the requirement change.

I think I’ve added about 25 from the D1 list and maybe 20 from the non reported list in the last 2 days to the past D1 list Maybe not exact, but it’s a lot
Do they go straight to stages past D1? The number of just D1s at the top of the tracker has gone pretty narrow. I’m just trying to understand why the tracker isn’t tracking some that have gone beyond D.
