What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

What a difference a bumper / winch, rock sliders, tires and wheels make!

Previously owned (3) YJ's, and all I can say is WOW! - night and day difference. 'Course, all my YJ's were 2.5l 4 bangers. Could barely maintain anything over 65 mph with 33's. Last one I owned (just before buying the JL) is attached here too.

Finished up the install of the Flowmaster American Thunder axle-back. Like many others, I experienced a pain in the a** install. Really hoped it wasn’t as bad as some said but it’s terrible for a company as big as Flowmaster. The ID of the pipe was at least 1/4” small...

Did some wheeling in the snow with a buddy of mine. I wasn't expecting the KM3s to perform as well in the snow as they did. They gave me no trouble whatsoever.

Installed my Westin Rock sliders today https://amzn.to/2SPm7cE. I like them so far. Wish they sat a tad hire to cover pinch seam better. I may apply a rubber coating to pinch seem to line-x the area that angles down to pinch seam.

Installed Sliders from JCR, no broken body bolts (if they got tight i would revers a few turns)

I really like those sliders. Do the make a decent step also? I'm torn between these and waiting for the Roam sliders.

Wife hand made some paracord seat straps for the kids. It's the little things in life!

How does it drive?

Drives good. I don't notice it much on normal roads, it is about the same, but it does have less of a pull on the steering wheel when you hit pot holes, bumps, rocks and such. Makes it more stable.

Nearly a month with my JL, decided to share my progress.. Credit to the forum for most of these ideas..

Installed a Rubicon Steel bumper, Rugged Ridge headlight covers, Green Rigid radiance pods, and plastidipped the grill..

Used the Mopar mojito rattle cans to spray the interior..

Installed an ARB twin compressor with MORE bracket.. Waiting on parts to finish the wiring.

S-Tech 4 switch with Mopar cubbies... Regret not getting the 6 switch btw, if you are going to do all that work, might as well go for 6 switches, instead of change to 6 switches later on.. Scott at S tech is great. I made an error with my order and he called me to explain that I'm an idiot and refunded me for the parts I didn't need..

Some Molle bags from amazon on the tailgate.. the straps weren't tight enough so I used zipties..

I might need a bigger fire extinguisher..

How did you attach those molle bags? I've found the stock tailgate "molle" slots are way too skinny and obstructed to be of any use. It is a ridiculously poor design. Anyone else have that issue?

Thank you for the idea I ordered some bags off Amazon yesterday and got them today with Prime membership. The red one was the same company but it's a nice nylon bag almost like a good backpack is made out of it's different than the black ones the black ones still cheaper than the red one and it came from the same company and same brand. That's weird that it feels a lot nicer like a nicer smoother canvas. Anyway I filled them all up and then when they had waited then they sag down and I couldn't close the door LOL so I had to take the zip ties and come in the bottom and pull it up on the rings. I did like you said I put them rings with zip ties through the door I took the vent panel off and put zip ties through them I did not put the straps to them I didn't see how you bring the strap back through and snap it. This way I can just take them off when I need you like you said with the rings that I made with the zip ties. It's just when they get heavy they sag then the door wasn't closed so I had to take a zip tie for the very bottom cross thing on the back and pull it up I went every other vet with the late with the zip ties. I'm going to order those patches like you had those one patches that are long and skinny or does like 1 by 3 ? I don't want the 2 X 3 I want the one by three it's long and skinny is that what that is won by three the ones that say jumper cables please reply back and let me know cuz I'm ordering them tomorrow thank you
