Carry light baggage on soft top?

Would a bag with two snow boards on top of soft top be a bad idea? They don't weigh much

I honestly would not put anything on the soft top. They makes cages that attach to the outside of your Jeep if you are wanting to carry things on top.

Bad Idea!!!

Frame not strong enough or made for anything up there! Also the material move a lot especially at higher speeds and would wear quickly, even with protection.

Bad idea. Get a hitch basket instead. More useful and safe

I like those but I'm afraid I would forget it was back there and back into something! And I think Thule (?) possibly makes a snowboard carrier that does hook into the hitch.

If you are going to worry about backing into something with a tailgate hitch, keep in mind a lot of people (try to) pull into garages with loaded roof racks also. I would not consider putting something on top of my soft top.

If you have a 2dr, you can probably fit them--are they over 50" ???
