Horse chestnut tree, and the chestnut that I don’t advise getting hit with:

My grandparents had a tree with seed pods like that - I had always heard Buckeye, but memory says the pods looked more like this Horse Chestnut than pics I find of Buckeye pods. Hmmmmm, weird - history not what we think it is :whatsgoingon:

Oh my. Stay warm! :giggle: Took a pic of the thermostat while we were waiting for propane... glad we installed the fireplace!

What's the emergency heat run off of, if not propane?

I wonder if Drumstick cones left in the car for 3 or 4 hours are still edible after you refreeze them. We shall find out.
I think those have the same shelf life as the twinkie so you should be good until 2090 !!

While I agree on your two examples, and that comedy these days is more sophisticated than (at least) Buckweat-type comedy, the nature of what makes something amusing has not changed. When show writers and comedians go in to attack mode and try to disguise it as comedy, it's almost never funny. It may not be entirely their fault (I'm fairly certain it's not) but not funny nevertheless. Take Tina Fey's "Sarah Palin" bits for instance, I always thought they were hysterical. Not so much Alec Baldwin's Trump. It just seems mean-spirited and forced.
I agree with what your implying but look at it from the writer and comedian's stand point and what they have to work with ???

even the sit-com's today suck

I'm sure Baldwin Is sick of doing Trump but these are the tools given

can't do this , can't say that , can't show this .........now go make m laugh !

"Procrastination Man" could be a funny bit because it's not directed at anyone !! :cwl:
