I grew up with Malasadas in Hawaii. Live with Churros here. May be nostalgic, but I remember the malasadas being better.
I remember them from my time living in Pearl Harbor as a kid, I think I agree. I remember them being light and airy and full of sugary goodness.I grew up with Malasadas in Hawaii. Live with Churros here. May be nostalgic, but I remember the malasadas being better.

Was your pops a Navy man by chance? I have vague memories of living there. I don't know where we lived exactly as I think I was 6 or 7 when we moved away. I remember we used to sit in the trees by the highway and throw these little sticky berry type things on to the windshields of cars and then giggle as their wipers smeared them across the glass. We would also throw these nut type things about the size of a golf ball at each other. We called em "greeny meanies"Lived in Waipahu until 1977.
:cwl:Fun story: telling Frankenstein some jeeple details. And I mentioned RA said whatever it was yesterday. He responded with... so Arya said what?...

My cousins and I would do that with horse chestnuts. Those buggers are painful! Was your pops a Navy man by chance? I have vague memories of living there. Dad was Airforce stationed at Hickam. But we lived off base. Lots of fruit trees around for sure. I’ve gone back as an adult a few times. It is much different now. So crowded. Was your pops a Navy man by chance? I have vague memories of living there. I don't know where we lived exactly as I think I was 6 or 7 when we moved away.
