What light and holder is this.
It came with the light itself.

It’s a JeepInformant edition light.

You can get them on Amazon.

Very solid light. I would say very similar material as our Surefires in the Marine Corps. Good $h!t. And they come in all the new Jeep JL colors.

I have a Granite Crystal and doing subtle red accents here and there so I went with the Firecracker Red light.

RussJeep1: Good info. Also, do you know if there is a way to change the USB port (1) next to the aux audio input so it is only on when the vehicle is on or running instead of always having power even when everything is off? I looked in the manual but can't find anything on it. It turns off automatically after 1 hour, but I'd like it to turn off immediately. I also looked in settings in the Uconnect system to see if there was an option.
Jeremmy: Rob's @robaw post above is what I know. I will say this, why not go my route and acquire a 12V cigarette lighter male to USB female adapter and plug it in there. That will give you what I'll call accessory only power (what you describe as a power source only energized when the rig starter button is in the on or engine has "successfully cranked at startup mode."

"Successfully cranked at startup mode." A whole lot of words to describe a JL whose engine can be off for a moment but still "cranked" (i.e. on) in the world of ESS.

Now--if you have intentions to use this cigarette lighter port for something else, a simple "Y" adapter that provides you with two female slots from the one FCA provides up front, along with the adapter I mentioned, should be your ticket.:)

Happy trails.

I saw one of these flashlights last week when at a Jeep dealership. A customer there had one. Anyway, there is absolutely no way you can compare this flashlight to a SureFire brand flashlight. Sure all the colors are cute. The flashlight is a cheap Chinese knockoff and not worth the $ they are selling for.

Somebody is laughing all the way to the bank with his offering.

The materials are that of a surefire. Now the actual lumens I have not tested. I have had plenty of surefires probably have 5 in my toolbox, it’s the same or similar materials, does not feel cheap at all. Durability not sure lol I haven’t ran it over yet. It feels like a surefire in your hand that’s all I know.

Also pretty sure I wouldn’t keep a surefire in an unlocked Jeep lol. Either way it is a suitable alternative unless you’d like to get your surefire stolen. It’s $20 bucks lol I wouldn’t know what a surefire costs as I’ve never had to pay for one.

Well, I will admit, it is cutesy in regard to the colors.

I'll stick with SureFire's ... (I have 3)

Regardless it is very overpriced for what it is. I'd be interested in the holder and no more..

FOX ATS Installed...Drove great before and can’t tell much in town but the highway is way better at 70-80MPH, no wind push, bump steer or tracking.. expensive, but hell its just money..
This is my next purchase for sure...been eyeing it for a while now

How do you know it’s overpriced for what it is? Did you ask the owner of that Jeep to hold his flashlight? Lol

It’s a $20 dollar flashlight that’s pretty solid. If I compare it materials wise to a surefire (I have plenty) and I assume surefires are expensive (again never had to pay for one) you would think you would be more interested. You stick with your 3 surefires and I’ll go buy 20 of these for what I’m sure are 1/10th the cost and “cute”.

Yeah, I already am using the USB adapter in the 12v lighter, but after reading what the other JL owner said about the back 12V connection (that it is switchable), I was hoping for a setting somewhere, moving a fuse or something else would work so I could get rid of the extra wires. I tried the USB connections behind the center console and they do the same thing (turn off after 1 hour).

@Distancecrew

Looks good!
If them being opened up doesn't work out, you can get the two new OEM hood vents (a pair) for about $68.00. You'd also need to buy new plastic retaining clips for the hood sound deadener. That sucker can breath now!
