possibly, even though there have been many red jeeps hitting dealers previously...I suppose that is a good theory though that they make them in color batches.

Most plants don't color batch at all. I watched a plant and colors went back and forth. Machine does 5 sec purge and then different color. The youtube video on the forum shows JKs coming down the line in various colors. So unlikely. Perhaps it is because soft top only customers like the red (like me)

same here but a few of us getting this info today do not show up on the update Jay sent....very odd!

that was my theory as well. I ordered Firecracker Red and am in D1 per Chat & Dealer but not the spreadsheet.

I did say possibly! lol the amount of possibilities (and theories) as to why Jeep has done this or that for the JL production spin up is baffling. I heard that people who order Red Rubicons with soft tops only are the real Jeepers anyways....all the rest are just fakes. :cwl:

...and if its a Red Rubicon soft top manual.....god level Jeeper....thats what I heard anyways...from the Jeep chat system.

I just checked update @JAY " VDC" Vehicle Distribution Center awaiting shipping. Just ship it, and ship it to Baltimore! I'm now paranoid after @newJLguy incident. Still can't believe it..... I hope they make it right.

Tried that also. D-D1 is a finicky transition. I wouldn't be too anxious. Once you get there then it's another waiting game!

So I finally got my VON today. The dealership apparently had internet issues and they didn't get my order placed until today.

Update. I spoke to a buddy at the jeep plant today, he checked on my von and vin.

Said I'm number 131797(I ordered 12-18-17), they are on 88xxxx . Said they build around 800 a day.

Said sometimes customer orders like mine (ours) get moved up alittle, but I'm still a long way out.
