What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Added my 35x12.5R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers and Fuel Anza rims with a +6mm offset. Tires stick out past the fenders about 2" giving it a much more aggressive look. Could't be happier with the way it looks right now.

Pinstriping looks harsh but usually can be washed/cleaner waxed out I'm going to so hate that day but know it's coming for mine too ha ha!

Just get it over with! Ha ha.

It's not too bad, that's mostly just dust sticking to the area. Had to swing wide when I didn't notice a hiker on the trail.. WTF is a hiker doing on a Jeep trail anyway!!!

Nothing glamorous but necessary.

Oil change and tire rotation. With five tires I like to rotate frequently and it doesn’t take much time. And I had an ulterior motive - took the opportunity to remove the brake rotors and add anti-corrosion (never-seez) between the rotors and hubs. Have had some really bad experiences removing rotors years down the line so now they get dissembled and greased up when new. Future me will be quite happy to have taken the time.

In case anyone is curious of what’s behind there, it’s a view most wouldn’t have seen yet.

I recommend this to anyone who might want to work on their own brakes in the future. My god can seized rotors be an absolute bear to remove. Also apply the goo to the caliper mounting bolts while they’re out.

For the oil change, added a Fumoto valve. Doesn’t protrude at all below the pan, so I’m not worried about smashing it any more than I worry about the pan itself. Will probably put a good skid plate over it before long, and this’ll make oil changes much simpler and cleaner when access is more challenging.

And took the thirty seconds to swap the antenna for a shorty. Much better. No obvious impact on reception.

Ran out of time, but tomorrow will be a MORE dead pedal install and a carpet delete.
