NO WAY!!!!! This is sooooooo wrong. OMG what a bunch of sh#t!!! I am SOOOOOO sorry man!! Wow, I am losing my patience with all the misinformation.... just tell us the truth!!! My god we ordered with blind faith in the leaders of this forum..... do not tell us the order banks are open and that you will track our orders if it is only sorta true!!! Many of us are spending over 50K!! Why have this forum if they dont tell us the truth??? Sorry but I am now pissed. How can they just TAKE HIS order???? What are we all doing here??? Sorry but this is crazy.

Sadly, little chance of this. It would show up in his dealerships order bank.
Any chance FCA decided to use his for training a dealership and it is then on his way to him? I know we kept hearing that FCA reps were going to each dealer mid Jan to train.

Let's give Tyler time to work the problem and give Jeep a chance to investigate and make it right. Everyone deserves that chance when a screw up occurs. I'm holding off posting anything on FB or Twitter until we have answers. In the mean time, I don't feel so badly about waiting when I think of the roller coaster @newJLUguy has been riding.

Actually, with major corporations like FCA, if there is suddenly a social media fire, they jump to put it out. I posted on Twitter for that reason. I'm making a clear distinction between Jeep as a vehicle and the people who work there vs the corporation. My response on social media is just business and in a language that corporate America understands and responds to. I have low expectations of them doing the right thing without public pressure.

Hi - apologies if this has been asked before. Does anyone have their VIN yet for a 2 door JL? I am curious if these only get allocated once actual production starts or shortly after ordering (even if production isn’t underway). I have a VON from an order that was placed last Friday but no VIN yet (as far as I know). Thanks.

Thanks for digging into this - although it doesn't fix the problem at least I know something outside of my control happened. Man, my kids and even my wife were bummed to hear the news. We were hoping to dive it to a tournament this weekend. They were all excited to have one of the first new Jeeps and now I'm back to square one.:(

I really feel for you ,and your family right now ,it down right sucks !
However i'm a firm believer in that everything happens for a reason (one door closes and another one open ). Who knows maybe that Jeep would have turned out to be a complete lemon . Here's hoping that FCA somehow does the right thing to fix this ,and that this kind of thing doesn't happen again.

I contacted Jeep via Chat and asked them for a status for my order (ordered 12/16). At the beginning of this week they told me I was still "D" status, I checked again today and they gave me an ETA of 1/23.
I asked what the status was and they said "No status to report but the ETA is looking a couple weeks out, so very soon"
So I asked "What does the ETA mean" and this was the response - "Estimated time of arrival, that's the date we are aiming to have the vehicle at the dealer"
On the spreadsheet I am not in D1 yet.
So the question is should I listen to what Jeep told me and that my Jeep will be at the dealer in less then 2 weeks, or the spreadsheet and that I'm still in D.
I know noone really knows for sure, just wish we could get a straight answer

The wow is more than 5% invoice this is almost the same thing I ordered almost a month ago. And it’s in transit.

I would say you are probably still in D, sorry to bust a bubble...and here is hoping they are correct....but 9 times out of 10 they are way wrong. I spent 36 days in D before going D1 (today). During those 36 days I got told all kinds of answers and updates from Jeep chat or the 800 number.

Trust the spreadsheet and your dealer. Not Jeep customer service people.

I just got word I’m now D1 as well and have the same eta. I think we are gonna see another batch of us hit d1 in the coming update of the spreadsheet. Congrats man! I’m just excited... I’ve been waiting for over a year to order my Jeep and now it’s ready to be built!

I hope this is true. I'm leasing my car and the lease was up the end of Nov. and I had to extend it, it will be great if I don't have to extend it thru February
