Wichita Kansas - New Rubicon at Davis-Moore Jeep. Beautiful and everything has been improved.

I am 6'7" and my wife is 5'5". The new Rubicon door door threshold is one inch higher than the current JK.

The front seats sits higher than the JK as well or the visor is lower. I will have to look under the visor for the stoplight more often.

The cabin seems ever so slightly more cramped. This unit was finished in tan leather. The dash and interior are a step up from the JK in every way.

I was surprised how much I liked the hinges matching the body color.

And those 33" inch tires are a major improvement over the current stock Rubicon tires.

My hats off to the Jeep design team.

Unfortunately, I have to wait for the new Sky One Touch top.

They look so good. I have my order in, actually hoping for a late spring early summer delivery instead of right away.

Thanks for the video! I’m super excited. This will be my first Jeep owned. I put in a factory order early this week for almost the exact looking model ( I chose black leather interior instead and Infotainment system group).

That is one sweet ride! Can’t wait until March when mine comes in!

I also notice in the configurator that if you select the full time 4x4 Selec Trac system, it adds on the limited slip differential, and the optional wheels and all terrain tires on the Sahara. Instead of a $600 option, it turns into a $2100 option.
According to the Dealer Guy on this site, it's a configurator error. You get the AT tires but you don't have to buy the alternate wheels.

Seems like overall you're still going to pursue purchasing a JL none the less?

Well, that indeed confirms no fuel filler door on Sahara trim and we have already seen the Rubi has it.
Can you purchase it as an aftermarket parts for Sahara? This just seems important for me as a safety aspect

It appears to be in the Mopar accessory catalog

It's like really, really nice. It's really good at being a gas cap and also at locking. And it looks rugged.

You excel at being, like, really really smart and stable! Lol

(Not an insult at all whatsoever, I know it’s hard to decipher tone in plain text) it’s just a political joke

Drove around 5 dealerships in the San Fernando Valley/LA area today and none had it. I placed an order for a little Sport 2 door at the only dealership that let me do it with a discount just to remember later that they're not being produced yet. I got over excited I guess because low deposit and fee. Still getting it thou. Best scenario is late March early April I guess :(

Shit. I just looked it up and I don't think it locks. But it does look rugged.

Hey guys,

I assume there’s no room for negotiation on the sticker price if you can find one due to the limited availability?

Thanks!!!

Im waiting to see a basic 2 door sport with 6 speed show up at a dealer so I can go buy it.

Thanks for the photos and your first impressions. The JL for the most part does look nicely updated.

One thing that seems off to me are the hour glass shaped tail light lenses. When looking at the JL from the rear everything flows well except the tail lights. Also the fold down windshield frame no longer has mounting points for Pod lights. That definitely will complicate the easy to do yourself LED light Mod. The Mopar brackets that are on the modded out Mojito JLU are huge and do not appear to let the windshield fold flat.

The aftermarket design teams will be very busy for the next year.
