Looks awesome! What is the tire and rim specs on that? They look like they stick out beyond your fenders a bit. Do you have a lift or is that stock?

17" wheels tires 35 x 13.5. They do stick out a little but it's not that bad, I like how they look sticking out. If they ever release some new fenders that I like I will be buying them right away though..

My 67D JL Rail system arrived today! Super happy with this setup and the quality of the product is excellent. Rather than cutting my stock insert, I chose to lay a piece of drawer liner in there instead.

I didn't have anything fancy to create the pilot holes so I just wrapped a big binder around a bit and twisted the holes by hand. Easy peasy. As others have mentioned, the plastic is very soft.

Do you think the additional holes were needed? Or would the two OEM holes suffice?

Switched out my wheels for some new fuel wheels with candy blue trim to match the ocean blue Wrangler. Also have a pic of my Quake LED halo headlights in there too which I will post more of later.

This is a great question. Even 67D says they're "optional, but recommended". I'll say this much. If you're only mounting one phone and it's a small phone ( say iPhone SE/5/5s sized ) and maybe a GoPro camera that doesn't hang off the edge of the rail, then you probably don't need the extra four screws ( but mind you, i'm guessing ). If you have a larger phone or two phones or an iPad hanging off the rail, I think you should put the extra screws in there.

Keep in mind that it's ridiculously easy to add the extra four screws. Just do what I did and wrap a big binder around a drill bit and hand twist it in to make the pilot hole. Then take a stubby screw driver to insert the screw. You don't have to mark the holes either. Just place the rail in place and twist the bit while it's sitting there ( not yet stuck by adhesive ). It'll look better with the four screws in place and you really should not have to worry about anything you ever attach to that rail after that.

Took the Jeep in for the first oil changed and had it flashed for the 35" tires. Fuel milage is much better... but as someone pointed out in another post, think it's mostly from the corrected milage reading... Didn't think of that before I did it. Went from high 16's (16.8 - 16.9) to low 19's (19.2 so far)... but again, think thats mostly the computer getting the correct distance traveled now.

Curious, how much did the dealer charge you to program your tires?

I promise you, if you went with bigger tires, your gas mileage is not going to improve.

Do know that after the programming and some driving/miles, your shift points will come into line lets say, and this will also impact your gas mileage a tad. Regardless, your gas mileage will be worse then it was with stock tires.

I installed my ARB single compressor under the hood.

1st I removed the driver side fender:

to gain access to all this real estate:

Then fabricated the mount: added a simple L-shaped bracket to the original ARB mount:

And here it is mounted:

I still need to wire it and will have a one-piece bracket fabricated, I just needed a quick solution for a ride I have on the 10th.

Was running 35's for about 2k miles getting in the high 16's MPG. Decided that I'd have them program for the 35's while in for an oil change. Now after todays driving included I'm at 18.8 overall (reset after the flash). But like I said, I think most of that gain in mpg is from the computer knowing how far the vehicle is traveling now as compared to before the programing. Hopefully I'm explaining that well enough... Really not a big difference in shift points as far as I can tell. Cost $125 plus tax. Don't think I'd do it if I had to do it over. I find myself speeding now since I was used to running at speed plus 10% (50mph = 55mph). I guess at least now my odometer will be correct for whoever buys it from me later on. :like:

And yes, you are 100% correct. Stock I was getting around 20mpg. Now appears upper 18's is as good as it gets... but that's not a bad drop.

I think it was the best move to program for the tires you are running.

I just think you blew it so to speak, (my opinion) by paying $125 to a dealer for the programming.

For $219 purchase of a programmer, you could have done the programming yourself and additional programming as desired. When you sold the JL, you would recoop more then half of what your paid for the programmer when you sold it here or on say craigslist.

I only mention this here now, in hopes that other's reading this post, think twice before paying the friggin dealer for tire programming..

Yes, for anyone that is questioning this... I agree with your assessment. For me, I was there and it was a split second decision. I'll beat myself up about it more when I go to 37's. :headbang:

Gotta wonder, does having too many lights close together like that kinda cancel out. In other words, after you put like 4, do the others make a difference?

You sense light on a logarithmic scale, so it has diminishing returns fairly quickly
