Just a heads-up, eBay has a 10% off code (PICKUPTEN) that works when applied at checkout to a Tazer JL Lite. Saved a little over $20 and shipping was free. Not exactly a fortune, but a little more than the forum discount, which I believe I read was just 5%.

Thanks for the discount. Do you happen to know if the Lite version has the TurnCAM feature that turns on backup camera when turn signals are used? I looked on their website for a difference between the two, but can't find a side by side comparison. I also looked for a phone number on their website, but found no number.

TurnCam is not a feature of the Tazer JL Lite.

You can pay $125 for the activation that upgrades the Tazer JL Lite so it has full Tazer JL features to include TurnCam.

You can either email or text ZAutomotive. The info is on the ZAutomotive website.

There is a discount code you can use on the Tazer JL but not on the Tazer JL Lite.

That eBay offering / vendor you purchased from, had 4 units @ $219.00. (Regular price that the Tazer JL Lite sells for) The 10% discount you mention/you got was a 10% off Everything eBAY offering that is for 24 hrs. only. It was an Ebay offering.

You got lucky, you got one of the 4 units offered and got the 10% eBAY discount..

You can pay $125 for the activation that upgrades the Tazer JL Lite so it has full Tazer JL features to include TurnCam.

Thanks for the info. So the price of the full version is $329, lite version is $219. To upgrade the lite version for $125 would make the upgraded lite to full version $344, so best to get the full version from the start if those particular features are important, right? The 10% off code on eBay would bring the lite version down to $198, plus $125 upgrade to make it a full version, that would be $323, so only a cost savings of $3 to get to the full version. Is my math right? Thanks again.

I encourage you to buy your Tazer JL or Tazer JL Lite direct from ZAutomotive.

IF you want full Tazer JL features, it will cost you a few $ less if you go with the Tazer JL versus the Tazer JL Lite that is activated to full Tazer JL features.

Some guys/gals would prefer not to plug anything into the OBDll port so that would be a reason for them to paid the few $ more and get the Tazer JL Lite.

You should see your programmer by Wednesday of this coming week. Assuming it ships Monday (undoubtedly it will). Takes 2-3 business days to get to a buyer per reports from many guys here.

It will come with firmware 11.0.6 installed. You will want to install the ZAutomotive ZPU Utility on your home computer. Using the included USB cable, hook up your Tazer to the computer and using the utility take a look see. Not mandatory to do this put I would...

As long as it does the job for you, that is what counts. Good Luck with your Flashcal.

Most here have gone with the Tazer JL or Tazer JL Lite and for very good reason. I encourage anyone thinking of buying a programmer to do your homework before purchasing any programmer.

As for the $ you pay for a programmer.... Don't get to caught up on what it costs but rather do the features the programmer claims to enable, disable or set, work, work as advertised....

As for what you pay, remember, when you sell your JL, you will be able to sell the programmer and recoop more then half what you paid for it.
