So, FCA, and by extension, Jay/JLWF, posted the repair procedure for the track bar weld issue.

Pretty detailed, but the gist is:

If your vehicle frame was assembled in a certain date range (they discuss the identifying mark in the bulletin)
-The tech takes a picture of the track bar welds, both inboard and outboard.
-The pics are emailed to FCA for review
-FCA determines whether or not the weld needs repair. If it does, they send out a welder to do the repair.

What follows here is pure conjecture!
Since 18,000 JLs are affected, I imagine there is going to be a backlog to get through. Best to get in early and get your name on the list for when the welder is in town to run through a batch of repairs. Otherwise, you might have to wait until he/she rotates around again, which could take who knows how long.

For what its worth here the skinny on Sam at work , She did put in her 2 week notice in instead of bailing so she has been coming in this week .

what she is asking for is more money after 30 days which we all know doesn't fly in this world and the annual amount she's asking is something she would end up making as a cap and no more so basically wants to start out at top earnings for her position .....she's 23!

I've told her several times to not get ahead of herself and go slow but like most her age they want big money upfront and then learn !
Greed is gonna teach her the hard way

Those only let you put in VIN, not frame number.

In the recall notice they showed that it would be under the driver door area. That's where I found mine. Now I have to go look and see if I see more in front of the spring like you showed. ugh!

Had someone leave us a bit ago for more $$. Now I get messages saying she wishes she could come back cause while the money is better, the people are worse. Sorry. I wish I could help you... but I’m not your boss.
