Track bar frame weld issue recall! [Updated with official UA5 recall notice w/ repair procedure]

FCA has started the recall UA5 for the track bar weld issue. This affects about 18,000 JL Wranglers. The issue exists on about 4 percent of the recalled vehicles, says FCA. Some of the defective JL's haven’t been sold yet, FCA ordered dealers to halt sales of the recalled Wranglers until vehicles are inspected and repaired, if needed.

You will get an interim letter or you can call your dealer to see if your affected by this. I checked to JLs in the shop and neither is on the list yet.

It’s about time. Hopefully FCA will get the affected JL’s off the road and repaired or replaced before anyone gets hurt or killed.

Glad to see FCA being proactive instead of reactive.

Hmm. My welds all looked fine under my jeep. Even the trackbar. Does this mean mine is affected though? or are they showing this for everyone?

Also: It states "Recall StatusRecall Incomplete, remedy not yet available" If no Remedy is available whats the point LOL. I wonder if we can just buy the RUSTY's support bracket and claim a reimbursement.
