Ugh...no, for some reason they don't come up even with a close match. The only one that I know of for sure is that red one on dealer lot in Virginia posted above. Still shows up on dealer website, but does not come up with inventory search on Jeep, com. At least not that I can figure out. In general though they do tend to leave the old info up at least until the end of production of the prior year. It seems like the website doesn't really catch up until the change of the calendar year. I think it's probably intentional to help push the remaining 2018s off the lots.
And that dealership w the red one is no friend to your wallet either.

I'm thinking at some point, Jeep will do a Special Edition that combines some of the Sahara's everyday drive-ability with some of the Rubicon's rugged good looks. Maybe they keep the gearing/axels, but my guess would be a butched-up Sahara: Sahara running gear, with Selec-Trac, and Rubi/special edition interior/flares/tires/rims/suspension. No lockers/disco. All the looks, nunnatha ability.
How do you like this prediction from March 15th?

Reading the thread where the pics were posted, there is just no love for the Moab. I just dont understand. Its just another trim of Jeep. Not everyone wants a Rubicon. Kurt, help me understand the hate lol
So let me help.
I like the MOAB, wish it was available when I got my Sahara. If you want a loaded up Sahara with some styling cues of the Rubicon, it's perfect.
Those that don't like it but follow the thread may need a hobby that keeps then from trolling other people's likes. I guess I could go on and on about those that like onions on their burgers or simply get mine without.

I agree wholeheartedly. Its like the hate seems to be coming from jealously or something. Idk. Just wish all Jeepers would just support one another in whatever Jeep you like. Guess its a newbie thing for me. Just seems that if you dont have a rubi you're not part of the cool kids club

98% of Jeepers feel exactly the way you describe. But unfortunately, as with most places on the internet, the tiny minority has the loudest voices. Those people are some combination of:
1. Jealous
2. Petty
3. Don’t even believe what they’re saying, just trying to get a reaction by saying something controversial

Best thing to do is to not engage

I'm getting a Rubi, but I love the versatility of the Moab, the luxury and ease of the Sahara, and the common sense of the Sport. I'm getting the Rubi because, honestly, I don't want to do anything to it. I'm going to get a late 80's/early 90's Cherokee to tinker with. I love all of the JLs, because Jeep is making a Wrangler for everyone (even if they all are pricey). I think a lot of the criticism comes form those that worry that Jeep/FCA is watering down the brand with a "Moab" that isn't "rugged enough" or a Sahara that's now too mall-friendly. If people can shame these buyers into buying something more "JEEP", then they hope FCA will stop opening new markets. Change can be quite painful for some.
For the record, I'm getting a Rubi because it's badass, but I'm a school teacher, so my actual off-roading will be limited. Maybe it will give me some street cred with these PITA teenagers...:computerrage:

Regardless of what they say, here’s the facts. Is the Rubicon an off-road BEAST? Yes. It’s king of the mountain. But keep things in perspective.

1. The main advantages of the Rubi (locking rear diff and gear ratio) are really only relevant on boulder climbing. There those features make a difference. But on most other off-road scenarios (mud, sand, gravel, etc), tires and torque are what matters. And the Moab will be very comparable to the Rubicon here.

2. Keep in perspective where things line up historically. The TJ & YJ models had under 200 hp. And the JK had around 200 for the first half of its run, until they switched to the Pentastar engine around 2013. So the early JK Rubicons would be easily outperformed by a 2018-19 Moab. Easily.

3. The VAST majority of Jeep owners sadly never need a bit of that capability. And even those of us who spend our Monday’s spraying 4 inches of caked-on mud off the bottom of your rig (as I did today) will find the Moab more than capable for what you need. Especially if you don’t live in the high desert where there’s giant boulders.

4. Most of us, if we did want to climb those giant boulders, wouldn’t do it in our $50k everyday driver. If that was my goal, I’d buy a 20-yr-old Jeep for $10k and throw another $10k of mods on it. That way I don’t have to freak the F out every time I hear a rock scraping across my skid plate (as I would if I was in a new Rubicon).

Summation. You like the Moab? Buy it, it’s more capable than ANY Jeep sold 2012 or before and will come close to the 2013-later Rubis in most scenarios. And it looks awesome. So just be happy you got a car you enjoy. It is gorgeous. Here’s an example:

On Saturday I was walking out of Starbucks and a middle aged police officer stopped me to compliment my Jeep. That afternoon I was sitting at a stoplight and the 2 college-aged girls in the car next to me yelled over “your Jeep is awesome”. Find me ANY other car which would warrant unsolicited compliments from those very different audiences.

In the name of science and objectivity, and before I place my '19 order, can you give us very detailed information about this scenario? Is it likely to happen often? Was it a JuCo, or something more Big 10? Where, exactly, is this alleged stoplight? To be clear, I don't care so much about the flat-foot and his compliment, or even what you ordered at Starbucks. But any other information you'd like to share about the rest of the story would be appreciated. In the name of science and objectivity, of course...

I live in Columbus, Ohio. What college do you think it was?

And like most fathers in his late 30s, I’m actually quite accustomed to young college-aged women yelling things out the windows of their car to me. It was just surprising that it was a comment about my vehicle instead of the normal requests for my phone number.

Franklin? Ohio Dominican? Columbus State CC? Mount Caramel College of Nursing? Probably not Rosedale Bible College, as they only have 63 students. Am I missing one?

I really like the looks of the Moab and since I don’t intend to climb rocks with my $50k vehicle, it’s perfect for my use. Better suited in fact than a Rubicon would be.

I live in Florida, and I don't plan on driving cross country to find the most extreme terrains. So I won't ever need a Rubicon (unless a hurricane turns all these homes into boulders). I do kind of laugh inside seeing the soccer mom types driving around in Rubicon's. Personally, I didn't buy sooner because I am not a fan of the planner looking Sahara. So in comes the MOAB which is perfect for me. It has everything I want, plus the more aggressive looks of the Rubicon. Point is that each trim has its place. This should make the "Hard core" jeepers happy, as it is what helps keep Jeep in business.

Folks. Did you notice that the order guide released on Oct. 4 changes the MMU option, (which is included in the MOAB package) from MOPAR heavy duty rock rails to the heavy duty rock rails with step assist?
