Well...Well...Well...look what the cat drug in!!! Howdy all!!! Yes, I am still alive and still on the forum...some...But cannot keep up with ya'll on this post...OMG...ya'll need to breath a little!! LOL

We just got back from a 2500 mile trip in Roxy and I loved every moment of it...except one...
(hopefully the video works for you...)


Even got to do a little off-roading while out...

Even got Roxy a little dirty...

And then cleaned her up a little...

Only to realize that my back tire was low...ended up pulling a piece of metal out of it...it is plugged and sitting on the tailgate now. it only had 8psi in it in this picture. LOL

I have 5700 miles on her how and have been getting 20-22mpg on the highway. Very pleased with that!!

Ok...back to your regularly scheduled program...and back to work for me. I will check back in here a little later.

Nice! IM or post up if you make it to St. Joe or Midnight. I need to try one this fall sometime, so I may take a random vaca day to do that.

I switched from the soft top to the hard top yesterday. In the 85km from my parents house to mine, my fuel economy improved by 0.7L.

(We need Chris if we are going to be able to compare that to MPG improvements...)

I think the magic number is 235.25, right?

Hey Matt, I saw that someone local was doing a Off-Roading 101 this weekend but I will be 2-wheeling it so will have to miss out. We really enjoyed hitting the forest roads in AR this weekend and will be doing it again here in MO sometime soon. I will try to put something together in the next few weeks as I get time to do it. I doubt it will be a park like St. Joe or Midnight but who knows. :D

What is that a gravel/half road course or something? What bike are you riding...wider tires and the others are on mountain bikes?

(Curious if I should get a road bike, or adapt my mtb for now)

Cyclo Cross is an off road discipline, but we ride on road and gravel too. Last weekend was insanely muddy, and we had to navigate seriously slippery side hills, as well as tight turns in slick grass and muddy uphills and downhills. Mountain bikes are typically too heavy and clunky for CX, but there are plenty of them out there. If you're looking for a bike to add with your mtn bike, the CX bikes are great, since you're not limited to paved roads. My bike is an Ibis Hakka MX. Once I built it, I haven't ridden my road bike AT ALL. I even do road century rides on my Hakka.
