Might be worth considering how much of that improvement is highway driving compared to your usual commute as well.

lol, okay fine... I happen to live right next to one of the main coast to coast Interstate Highways here but we have plenty of rural roads, so I get a good mix of all types of driving. Interestingly I get the best mileage when I'm tooling around on the rural roads. This Jeep really seems to be made for 45-55 Mph.

I'm pretty sure it can be addicting. I haven't driven a 2.0 Jeep yet but from the Videos I've watched I know I'd be hooked feeling that torque and hearing that engine note!

Related story, we were going on a training exercise from Camp Pendleton to Yuma, AZ and I was the lead vic in the convoy. I had one of the first Unarmored HMMWVs with the turbo in the Marine Corps. All the other unarmored HMMWVs in the convoy had naturally aspirated diesels and while they could do highway speeds with no problem there was just no contest with the turbo-diesel. All I would hear on the radio is "Slow down up there Turbo!"

TL;DR: Putting the fastest vehicle up front was not a good Idea.
