So everytime I drive without the doors on, it drives me crazy to do so without side mirrors. I have been looking for a set that I like, and for one that doesn’t vibrate so much, so I may end up fabricating my own bracket in the near future, but for now this is what I’m using.

since I don’t have any side mirrors on at the moment, I got the idea to use the rear view camera in place of the side mirrors for the time being. I moved the camera icon down the the quick access bar on the bottom of the infotainment screen and when I need it, I just reach over a press it on the screen and bam I have a wide view angle of everything I need to see.

I was skeptical of how much it didn’t show me so I tried this again once I was stopped at a traffic light with lots of cars around me and it gave me a very good idea of where the cars were inrelation to what I was seeing on the screen. Not a bad solution for now. For me this was a relief now that I have something for now to help me change lanes with. The rear view camera actually works very well for this, because of the wide angle view it gives.

Thought I would share just incase anyone is in the same boat as I am wanting to drive without the doors but have no side mirrors.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal to drive in any state without side mirrors. :headbang: :stop:

Not all laws are the same for each state, that is why they are called State laws.
Like some states do not require a helmet to ride a motorcycle.
Here in TN it is only required to have one mirror That has an unobstructed view. I have the center rear view, plus the camera system for now.
I am not saying this is a permanent solution to driving without mirrors, but it does work for now.

I agree that camera is great for blind spot monitoring. The tazer actually has a feature called TurnCam that turns on the back up camera whenever you turn on a blinker! That alone almost makes it worth purchasing in my opinion.

Tazer JL can turn on the backup camera with turn signals. I use that feature when my doors are off and it's pretty great.

FYI, I am selling these if interested: $65 shipped - Rugged Ridge trail mirrors, round | 2018+ Jeep ...https://www.jlwranglerforums.com › ... › Member Marketplace › Exterior Parts

Depends on the state. It's not illegal in CT.

Completely legal in Texas. What state do you live in where it’s not legal?

Yep seen your post this morning on the mirrors because I was looking at the Rugged ridge rectangle ones, but after reading your post about being anal, I would be right there with you on that.

That is a really cool feature on the Tazer that I didn’t know about, I will have to look into the tazer more.

Completely legal here in AZ(one of my ATVs is even registered for road use). Just need one rear-view mirror (&horn w/ ATV). Some states require the mirror be on the outside of the vehicle and others require two.
The problem is that: even in states where it is technically legal, some law enforcement officers will either misinterpret or not know the law. Unfortunately, most of us don't have time to go to court to dispute a ticket.
Just ask some Jeep owners in PA.
It’s legal in SC.
PA is the only state I know of that nothing is legal.

Not all common sense is legislated.

Florida requires either rear view mirror or side mirrors, not both.

Oregon only requires a rear view mirror.

Look cool, but that PRICE!
I like the camera ball mount in front of the mirrors.
Buy once, cry once. Always followed that with rifle scopes. Should have applied it to Jeep accessories—the Lange mirrors can’t stand the wind at speed. I have a set I’ll sell if anyone wants the Lange coyotes.
