Well I drove Lil' Hulk during peak traffic hours in H-town and thank goodness I was in my Jeep. Had I been in any other vehicle I woulda been tilted. I'm never driving on the roads from 2pm-7pm, so I always miss the heavy traffic, but today I had to be in it.

The only other great thing about it was that I saw this Forest Green Rubicon today...I just HAD to talk to the owner lol! We were both stopped at a light and I asked him the year. His was a 2010 but omgoodness it looked so HAWTTT! I was shocked at the year because it looked brand new. He had it lifted (4inches) lovely rimz and mud tires and modded fenders. That was a beastly Jeep! I was happy that the light lasted a good minute or two because we were yelling out of our windows chatting lol. He said he liked my Mojito too hehe.:involve:
One of my favorite Jeep experiences was stopping at light next to a guy in a TJ towing a boat. He had the top off and doors off and was yelling to me to ask how I liked my Jeep. I am a complete introvert, but there is something about Jeeps that just brings out this whole sense of community. It is really nice.

Mental hugs girl! I get my daily fix from folks all the time. I text folks asking for hugs...and they know what to do!

I want a bumper, but I do not have a bumper budget at the moment so I made marshmallows instead. Of course, my vents are rarely closed so nobody will ever see them. :)

I get asked for a hug from a girl. I’m thinking Jeep. Get in there and climb it!

So Tuesday morning I go out to start the JL and it won’t recognize either keyfob. That afternoon I try again, even holding the fob up to the button and... nothing.

Next thing I know the door chime is going off and the Jeep is acting like the battery is weak. Since I’m under warranty, I immediately un-marry the Tazer while the door chime is ringing, the wipers are moving without being on, and the display is telling me to have various systems serviced. Shortly thereafter the battery dies.

So Wednesday I call roadside assistance and they send someone to jump me. Nope, try again. My poor 5-month-old JL ends up on a flatbed on the way to the local dealership.

As of yesterday evening they were able to charge the battery and start the Jeep, but they say the charging system isn’t working. They’re checking wiring, alternator, computers, etc, but now I’m going into day four of being Jeepless. Sigh.

UPDATE-1:
Dealership just called and they believe it’s a problem with the alternator. They had one overnighted and will be installing/testing today.

Update-2:
Evidently the alternator swap worked. Dealer called a couple hours ago, and now it's back at home safe and sound. Plus, everything was covered under warranty! This is the first time I've had to use roadside assistance/warranty repair and I have to say, everything went fairly smooth.

Yes, my glasses are turquoise around the tortoiseshell, but it doesn't show as much in that picture as I thought it did when I posted it :/

That just sucks. About a million years ago, I was driving my Beetle and it just died without warning in the middle of a busy road. I couldn't even turn on the hazard lights, which was not awesome in Pittsburgh traffic.

I hope it is an easy fix, and I am glad it didn't happen in the street.

Installed a black fuel door, door sill guards and a screen protector for my baby after work today. I got some dust underneath the screen protector while I was installing it, smh. I absolutely hate installing screen protectors in general. Luckily it came with two protectors. I'll probably swap it out in a couple months.

I also gave my JL its first wash today(by hand) and vacuum. Really got to appreciate the styling and fine details of this jeep. Next up is a tint and rubber mats before fall comes around
How difficult was the fuel door? I heard you have to remove the tail light to install?

Installed the following on my Sport S:
  • Rubicon suspension
  • 2.5" Rough Country leveling kit
  • Factory Rubicon wheels/tires
  • Rubicon sliders.

Debating on adding 'red raider' decals on the hood in Rubicon font, and plasti-dipping the Jeep emblem, Trail Rated emblem, and Door Lock cylinders black.
Also considering removing the air-dam and fender/bumper gap panels.
Lastly, looking to add some tubing to the Rubicon Sliders to act as steps. My kids and wife will have trouble getting in and out now.

I also have a set of black grill and headlight inserts on the way.

Does anyone know what font the Rubicon decals are? I searched, and can't find it. I would order from PixelDecals.com but I don't want it to be a 2-color decal. I just want a black outline (so the factory red is in the middle). Kind of the inverse of the Rubicon decals.

And, no...I'm not putting "Rubicon" on a Sport, I'm thinking either 'Raider' or 'Red Raider'. It's my Wife's Jeep, and she's a Texas Tech alum...

It just took my mind away from the jolly rancher and started dreaming bout a campfire. Mmmmm that hot sticky soft tasting one looks like the most delicious one of all. Get in the Jeep!

Look on Etsy for these, there's tons of custom options and the price is right!
