My biggest fear isn't tire size or weight. It's dropping off a ledge or rock and having my tire catch it on the way down, that would be devastating for the gate. I ran a trailer hitch as a scorpion tail on the Rubicon to prevent just that from happening.

I like having a trailer hitch skid plate. I ran both a rear and front hitch on my old JK for a while so I could use a hitch mounted portable winch in the front or the rear. I kept my winch inside the Jeep until I needed it but ran with the skid plates in the receivers which prevented damage on multiple times.

Thanks, looks like you got the steel bumper too. How are you liking the exhaust?

No, I've got the stock bumper & my tire is almost an inch off the bumper. As far as the exhaust, I like it but there are certain speeds where it kind of drones. I've learned to manage it by manually shifting my automatic. It is aggressive though.

With the fenders painted, I might recommend quickly getting the door hinges and fenders covered with 3M clear bra. My black fenders have already taken a beating and I've only been out and about a few times.

Like others have said before, it changes with the light, which is cool. Ranges from a creamy grey to a slate grey depending on the time of day.

Pleeeeeenty of space in the back with the seats removed.

You can even fit a golf bag lengthwise (I looked for that info before buying a 2-door - happy to confirm that’s the case).
