So you had no issues jacking the Diff? That's reassuring. I'll try that next weekend, Thanks for your input. The metal housing on the Differentials looked thin to me so I was skeptical.FWIW, I used a 2.25 ton floor jack and jacked the back end up via the diff. Stuck the stands on each end and lowered her down. In the front I used the front diff to raise the driver's side and stuck the stand under and lowered it. On the pax side there is a steel plate far enough away from the wheel to let you jack it up and still have room to slide the jack stand in. I did my jeep that way and we just did a friend's jeep that way.
