I drive a 2021 2 door jeep jl 3.6l

My current 33 inch tires are old and worn out and I want to buy 35 inch nitto ridge grapplers. Im wondering if they will fit on my jeep. I dont have a lift kit installed. Do I need one?

Chat gpt was saying Nitto Ridge Grappler 35x12.50R17 are the ones I would need to get.

It said yes my jeep can fit them but I may experience rubbing at full turning. Which is fine I can avoid full turning.

But im just looking for advice and wisdom.

Id also like to point out I took my jeep for an inspection today and he said I need a steering dampner (steering stabalizer?). Chat gpt told me about after market ones and said the "FOX 2.0 IFP stabalizer" was a good choice for me. I would rather just buy an aftermarket one, than to pay the dealership to put an oem one on.

So I suppose if anyone can sort of just guide me in the right direction here would help alot!

Is your jeep a rubicon?
Yes, I drive a 2021 2 door jeep jl rubicon 3.6L

I am wondering if I can fit 35x12.50R17 nitto ridge grappler on my jeep.

I discovered that 35x12.50R17 NRG are recommended to go on 8 inch wide wheels, but that my wheels are 7.5 wide.

Someone said that I can still put them on 7.5 wide wheels though?

Tire size and what fits with no lift is literally the most asked/talked about question on this forum, FB groups, YouTube etc. There is more than enough information out there regarding this subject if you do some research.

Fox 2.0 is a great choice for the steering stabilizer. Fair price and easy DIY install to save you a few bucks.

The 35s will fit but you will need to purchase a programmer to calibrate your speedometer/odometer/shift points, etc. for the new tire size. You will want to raise the brake light above the spare tire (it's adjustable).

1. Will slightly rub on fender liners when full flex. Might slightly rub the front control arms on full turn. I dont think it would cause issues.

2. 12.50 wide tire on 7.5 wheel isn't ideal but doable. You might need to run 2-3 psi lower to get even wear on tires.

3. OE steering stabilizer can be had for little or even free on marketing place or forum. Fox unit is good but it doesn't do anything that OE cant do. I would save $200. Gas is getting more expensive.

You will get into your liners a little bit with 315s/35s on a stock JLR but not bad and not enough to worry about. And can always do a fender chop to help

I use 35x11.5r17 Toyos on my 2020 Wrangler Rubicon. They have taken me everywhere effortlessly and do not rub.

I took this photo in the middle of switching from 33s to 35s. You can tell the difference.

Why can’t Jeep recalibrate to a factory option ???!! After XR’ing my pre XR they couldn’t do it. About 3 weeks later I got a “Service 4 WD- output shaft speed-wheel speed”, and Jeep recommended aftermarket.
