I have a lot of issues with those glasses holder that go on the visor. They are all junk and do not hold tight enough, Ive tried too many already. Anyone see anything like this for the JL. That area, the dash tray, is useless as is, because the glasses will go flying with out this roll cover when i turn. You'd think with 22,000 variations of passenger side grab handle trays we could get one of these.

This is the closest I could find, but would love a cover of any type.

In the summer, wouldn't this be equivalent to a small solar powered oven? Unless you have wire frames and glass lenses, I'd think it would cause damage to sunglasses stored.

You make a very good point! I was looking at one of the covered "upgrades" with a cell phone holder on the left and a mount on the right for GoPro or radio, etc. Now I'm thinking about what I would put in the oven. It gets hot down here in Kentucky in the Summer, but I also keep a shade in the windshield too because of that reason.

Using a windshield sunshade would help a lot. However speaking from experience, damage can/will happen from summer heat.

I have the option of hanging other whatnots underneath. Probably won't.
Used a more heat tolerant 3D printer filament. The regular didn't work well.

Won't an exploding airbag implant all of that into whoever is sitting in the passenger seat?

I usually end up losing mine in the driver’s footwell, right below the brake pedal. I do have an Anvil Overland dash bar that’s already overloaded with electronics, and I’ve been trying to find a good way to mount a case or pouch for sunglasses there anyway—but nothing has really stood out yet. Mounting anything to the roll bars or the installing the grab bar tray doesn’t seem worth it to me, since I’d rather not turn my airbags into a high speed shrapnel dispenser in the event of a crash. For now, I store them in a case inside the center console, when they're not sliding around the footwell.

Lolol

Maybe. However, we are driving jeeps. If safety was truly paramount to jeep folk, they wouldn't be modifying, lifting, jacking around, slapping on BS sized tires, 4x4-ing or baby rock crawling.... I won't even get into speeding, texting or yapping on cell phones.

As it stands, on the occasion that I grace another human a ride in my jeep, I pull both items off the hand hold and hook on the map holder behind passenger seat. Less about safety, more about those 2 items not being in their way.

I’ve had no problems with the visor clip one that use magnets.. and also use a magnetic ‘infinity tool’ on my overhead molle.

Respectfully disagree. As we used to say in my job: "Mission first, safety always." Yes, we do want to use our vehicles like we want and we accept some compromises. However, if we can still do those fun things and do them in a safer manner, I'll always (mostly?) choose that way. Putting my cell phone on a safer location than in front of an airbag does not impede my trail ability so I choose that option. Choosing a lift kit to fit my big tires involved researching the reputation of the kit on the highway along with its trail performance. My TJ took a weight penalty from the additional cage I installed to protect my kids in the back seat.

Everything is a tradeoff but safety shouldn't be ignored. If you've ever had your wide-eyed daughter smiling at you while driving on the edge of a cliff, I think you'd understand my philosophy. If you've ever had that daughter freak out while sitting upside down in a 4x4 because you relaxed a little too much while having fun, that would help you understand my priorities.
