Ibs sensor replacement wrangler jl 2.0t

(Wrangler jl unl rubi 2.0t )
I have a problem with the charging cycle , battery light on the dash , 2 batteries was changed 6 months ago (agm)
The alternator is charging ( 13.6-14.2)
I think its ibs sensor , and i cant find the oem part , so i’am thinking about ordering aftermarket from amazon , can it work properly ? Any thoughts about it all



(oem price almost 400$with delivery , amazon for aftermarket 42$ )

Why would the IBS be affected by acceleration?

If possible, use JScan to check alternator voltage.

I thought maybe under load the sensor changes the voltage , i dk for sure where to start ,, when i changed the batteries the sensor still atached to the batterie and i got a spark when connecting , thats my theory

The PCM requests voltage, the alternator regulates voltage, and the PCM measures the result. IBS voltage data is used much less directly.

I would think your battery light illuminating while accelerating points to an issue with the alternator, since it's directly affected by engine RPMs. I'd check for loose grounds, check your serpentine belt, and use JScan to check PCM target and sense voltage.

IBS will not cause a battery light. You're wasting your money throwing a part at something you don't understand.

Have it properly diagnosed. A 2.0L throwing a battery light intermittently is usually a block ground issue. Perform a voltage drop test between the block and the negative terminal and see what you get during engine crank. If you see anything over 0.1 volts it's a bad block ground. You can also verify target charging voltage and voltage sense using a proper scan tool like JScan.

Thanks for the replay , my scan show voltage 14.3 when idle , do you mean to put the wires for the test , on the block of the alternator and the negative of the batterie/chassi ?

All the ground was cleaned a year ago by the dealer , and they always say ( change the batteries , i already changed 3 times within 3 years , 🥲

Voltage drop test - Put a lead anywhere on the engine block. An alternator mounting bolt is fine (not the B+ lead). Put the other lead on the negative battery terminal.

The voltage should rear zero or in milivolts. Crank the engine. If you see the voltage jump to 0.1v or above during engine crank your block ground is bad

i done the test , when was accelerating the light came on , didnt have any changes in numbers on the app screen , i asked chpt and this is what he answered between all the things that he mentioned , what you think ?
the connector is stuck and i am afraid of braking it

It's normal for ALT VOLTAGE SENSED to be 0.

It's one of many apparently unused PIDs.
