I picked up my '22 Wrangler 4xe this morning after having the 68C recall update done yesterday afternoon. The vehicle drives normally as it should with no noticeable difference in operating. As for the issue, once the charge cycle completes, the blue dash lights and green charge port indicators go off as they should. However, after an hour or two, the charge light indicators come back on. The five blue lights remain solid as well as the green charge port indicator. They will stay on until I unplug the vehicle. The dash screens are all off and key fob is not close. I've cycled the vehicle multiple times with no change in the behavior. Has anyone else experienced this pre or post the 68C update? I am not seeing anything else reported on here or the 4xe forum. The dealership also doesn't know.

I guess it could also be a new safety feature from the new software to let people know it's plugged in? (i.e. run! :CWL:)

Tagging this post because I just got mine back this afternoon. I'll check it in the morning when it's finished charging.

Is the Jeep app and Mopar website still showing an open recall for you? It is for me, maybe it just takes awhile to be updated.

It can take up a to a week for it to show on the app and website.

Just to add to this - I unplugged the charger last night. This morning, the HV battery drained 5% overnight which has never happened pre the 68C update. Would love to hear from anyone else who has had 68C done to see if they are seeing these behaviors.

Ok, here's an update. I had mine outside and plugged in with the level 1 charger overnight, temperatures were around freezing.

This morning it is fully charged according to the Jeep app, as I have not driven it yet today. (When I drove it yesterday it acted normal.) Also, the lights on the top of the dashboard are not lit at all.

Thanks for confirming! Seems like it’s a me issue then ☹

Mine has done the same. If using scheduled charge on my charger it has lost 2-4 percent charge while plugged in after fully charging. I switched to sheduled charging on the Wrangler itself, did not loose any charger after fully charging. I set the charge time the same on both.

Thanks for the reply. I have never used the charging schedule and double checked nothing was set via the Jeep and it wasn’t. So not sure the schedule is the cause?

I can only suspect the 12v battery is getting low at this point (3.5 years old) and the recall install’s heavy load on it expedited its near death. Or there is an issue with the software itself. Will post an update when I learn more.

I recently had the recall as well but the charging behavior has remained as normal. Sounds like it might be unique to yours.

I had the 68C recall completed. The other evening I plugged into a Level 2 to charge. The indicator lights went off after the charging was completed, but I did not unplug.

A few hours later I saw the indicator lights were back on. Left it plugged in and went for a walk with my dog. When we got back, the lights were off.

Everything else is normal.

So, I figured I either never noticed it before or maybe the indicators lights come on occasionally from the new software running checks.

Thanks. For mine, the lights will always come back on 1.5-2 hours after the level 2 charge completes. They will stay on for a long time but eventually do turn off. But will be back on in the same 1.5-2 hours timeframe again. There hasn't been a time they were not mostly on at this point. This is only when the vehicle is plugged in to be clear.

Mine has gone back to normal.

Mine is now fixed and operating as it should. The dealer worked with Jeep's Techline to reinstall the software. Techline helped them follow the proper protocol to undo and redo.

Unfortunately this issue has returned. Seems like others on the 4xe specific forum also have experienced the same or similar iterations of this but with no resolve. @alphawolff would appreciate your insight here if you’ve seen any cases of this at your shop. Thank you in advance and appreciate all your input on here.

Just replace your 12v battery and see what happens. Make sure you don't have battery per-conditioning enabled or hvac scheduling turned on to verify those aren't the cause
