How the hell does an insect get behind my glass...and how do I get it out again?
At the moment, it's still alive and flying around behind it...

It's not that obvious, but it's actually behind the glass.
I tried using compressed air and a vacuum cleaner, but it didn't work.
Now that I know it's there, I keep looking at it :-(
I really don't feel like taking everything apart just because of a fly...

My 2020 gladiator shipped with some kind of walnut jammed under the lower intake manifold. A squirrel smelled it and ate the wires around the back of the engine trying to get to it. Had to remove the lower manifold to get it out when I found it.

Anyway, I believe the cluster glass is removeable on its own. The cluster itself takes about ten minutes to pull out. Not a big deal, just weird.

I've already watched the videos online. But everything has to come out to get to the speedometer.
With such a new car, I'm a little worried about breaking something.
Maybe I'll wait a bit until it mummifies and falls out somewhere :)
But it's totally annoying :-(
Maybe she'll just get scared the next time she jolts and run away...
;-)

Coincidental timing on the thread. Earlier today, a massive insect hit my Shoei helmet's forehead vent at speed. The resultant sticky yellow slime migrated through the vent and onto the fabric lining...and my face.

Life is a banquet.

In the OP's position, I'd wait and hope that the bug found its way out, before it croaks. I'd be fairly hesitant to disturb the instrument cluster here.

Yep, you can take the entire cluster out in about 10 minutes. While you have it off you might consider changing the background to white, red, blue what ever you like. Look on Extreme terrain for cluster kits... They tell you how to take it all aprt as well.

Always fun getting insects in the helmet. I had a rather large spider crawl down to the tip of my nose and just sit there while I was almost fully leaned into a corner on a very windy road.

I had a wasp fly into my teeth guard (bite block) while climbing a big hill on my motorcycle. The SOB stung my lip about 20 times by the time I got to the top and could free a hand to smash the little Bastard. My lip was so swollen I couldn't put my bite block back in.

In my younger days, I had a Kawasaki GPZ550 and on a winding mountain road hit a swarm of wasps. Several crawled down inside my fleece and were repeatedly stinging me on the chest. I pulled to a sloping dirt shoulder and flung off my helmet and was pulling the fleece over my head as my foot slid and the bike slowly tipped over underneath me. Right then a bunch of sporty bike guys rounded the corner, and slowed down to look while probably wondering about my mental stability and whether or not I had any business on a motorcycle.

Ha Ha Good story. I was in my 69 Camaro. I had short pants on doing about 70mph down the interstate. My leg itched, when I reached down to scratch it, I thought I had a Cockleburr on my sock. Nope it was a Bumble Bee. It crawled up my leg and right under my shorts to the victory garden. OMG I was swerving all over the place trying to get to the side of the road. I jumped out of the car and literally took my short pants off and got rid of the intruder. It was then I suddenly realized I was standing on the side of a major freeway with my pants off, All I had on was a Jock strap. oooppps

Must have been a sight to see.

I had a bee fly up shorts (it's AZ, we ride in shorts) on a bike once. Pulled over and dropped my shorts right in front of a large group ride.
